A Biruta Street man, 52, was charged with domestic violence after police said he punched his girlfriend in the face and hit her in the back of the head with a vase.
An Adelaide Boulevard man, 32, was charged with domestic violence after police said he went to the home of his child’s mother and started a verbal argument that escalated. He punched the woman in the left eye, causing injury, a report said.
A Bertha Avenue man, 22, was charged with breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools after police said he attempted to break into Varsity Motors, 552 Spicer St., with a hammer.
A Chittenden Street man, 33, was charged with three counts of domestic violence after police said he came home intoxicated and started punching his girlfriend in the face. When her mother and sister tried to intervene, he assaulted them, too, police said.
A 43-year-old man, who is reported homeless, was charged with breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools after police said he was found inside a vacant house on Bank Street with several tools used to strip wiring.
A Lakeside Court man, 58, was charged with domestic violence after police said he assaulted his wife, causing visible injuries.
A Niagara Avenue man, 44, was charged with willful flee, resisting arrest and driving under suspension after officers responding to a call of a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a vacant house on Dayton Street near East Cuyahoga Falls Avenue said the man led officers on a high-speed pursuit until he crashed his truck on Hazel Street. He then tried to flee on foot, police said.
Two Gage Street men, 22 and 20, were charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and trafficking in marijuana after police said they accompanied another man into a house and robbed the occupant of video games, jewelry and cash.
A Congo Street man, 22, was charged with domestic violence after police said he punched his girlfriend in the face several times.
A 32-year-old man, reported as homeless, was charged with auto theft and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said he stole a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado from Markham Machine earlier in the day and struck two other vehicles while driving it.
An East Tallmadge Avenue man, 31, was charged with domestic violence after police said he fought with an ex-girlfriend, causing visible injuries to her neck, face and elbow.

A Summit County sheriff’s deputy charged a La Joy Avenue woman, 26, with domestic violence Dec. 20 after her boyfriend said she became enraged during an argument, broke a picture and ran toward him, a report stated.
A State Mill Road woman, 45, was charged Dec. 19 with receiving stolen property, illegal manufacturing of drugs and two counts of possession of drugs.

Aggravated robbery
Police are looking for a man who robbed CVS Pharmacy, 1711 State Road, of nearly $2,300 worth of OxyContin at gunpoint Dec. 29.
Breaking and entering
Someone broke into Chowder House, 2028 Chestnut Blvd., on Dec. 29. Items valued at over $9,000 were taken.
Identity theft
A Northampton Road woman reported Dec. 29 that someone used her personal information to secure a $5,000 loan in November.
It was reported Dec. 30 that someone opened two credit card accounts in the name of a 90-year-old Graham Road man.
Theft
A woman reported Dec. 28 that someone her family knows has been asking her 77-year-old father for money under false pretenses. She said the suspect has received $5,000.

Arrest
An Akron man, 37, of Joy Avenue was jailed Dec. 27 on a warrant charging him with passing bad checks. He was arrested on South Arlington Road at Interstate 77, a sheriff’s report showed.
Breaking and entering
Four jack stands, two 100-foot extension cords, a case of brake fluid and numerous other items were reported stolen Dec. 19 during a break-in at a Greensburg Road home’s detached garage.
Theft
On Christmas Eve, an Eagle Drive resident told authorities that his $1,000 laptop computer was stolen from his car parked at home.

A West Nimisila Road man, 35, was charged with domestic violence Dec. 23 after police said he told his sister that he was going to end her life.
Rape
Police began a rape investigation Dec. 24 after the mother of a 4-year-old girl told investigators that the child had told her that a man had raped her.

Arrests
A Greenwich Road woman, 28, was charged Dec. 29 with possession of drug abuse instruments. Her cousin found the woman slumped behind a bathroom door, not breathing. He told police he performed CPR until she started to breathe. Police found a hypodermic needle and syringe on the bathroom counter and an additional needle in her wallet.
An Orrville man, 26, was charged Dec. 28 with child endangering, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving under suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a drug abuse instrument.
Assault
A 56-year-old man reported Dec. 27 that he was assaulted by his niece’s 26-year-old husband during a family party at a South Medina Line home. The man reported that the suspect pushed him against a window and punched him after he told his niece to watch her children. He did not wish to prosecute.
Theft
Two golf carts were stolen from E.L. Stone Co., 2998 Eastern Road, on Dec. 23.

Arrest
A Lake Road woman told police Dec. 17 that her boyfriend, 50, choked her into unconsciousness, then struck her several times in the face and head. She said she was punched and kicked until she became unconscious again. The man was charged with domestic violence.
Burglary
A Linwood Road man told police Dec. 18 that he believes three young people entered his home and stole a handgun, a rifle laser scope, a knife and other items, total value $2,100.
Theft
Cash and a purse, total value $550, were reported stolen Dec. 20 from a car in the parking lot of the Lakeview Lighthouse Church on Kubler Trail.

Arrests
Two Akron men, ages 32 and 57, were charged Dec. 24 with aggravated possession of drugs during a traffic stop in the Kmart parking lot, 555 South Ave. They are accused of having methamphetamine and marijuana in the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was arrested on a warrant.
A 35-year-old Akron man and a 31-year-old Green man were charged Dec. 26 with aggravated possession of drugs and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals to manufacture methamphetamine. Police stopped a vehicle leaving Saxon Village on North Thomas Road at West Avenue and found methamphetamine and pseudoephederine.
An Akron man, 21, was charged Dec. 28 with aggravated possession of drugs. During a traffic stop, police reported finding a plastic bag containing suspect cocaine in the man’s possession.

Officers were called to Ledgewood Drive on Dec. 30 for a report of a suspicious person walking around inside of home. The suspicious person turned out to be the homeowner.

Officers were called to River Styx Road on Dec. 30 to help citizens with an injured pheasant. The bird flew away.
Suspicious people
Officers confronted two people on an access drive off Good Road on Dec. 27. They told the officers they wanted to visit a tree across the field that was a “large part of their relationship.”

A North Park Drive woman was charged Dec. 25 with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Drugs
Police and paramedics were called to a Sandpiper Lane apartment Dec. 29 for a drug overdose. Paramedics were able to revive the patient, who was taken to a local hospital.

An Ardale Avenue man reported Dec. 23 that someone used his credit card without permission.

A West Main Street man, 28, was charged Dec. 31 with domestic violence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
An Oakwood, Ohio, man, 55, was arrested Dec. 29 on warrants for theft and assault.
Police charged a Lawrence Drive man, 26, with felony domestic violence, threatening domestic violence, obstructing official business and resisting arrest Dec. 24.
A Franklin Avenue, 23, man was charged Dec. 29 with burglary.

A Louisville woman, 20, of Francesca Street was charged with felony theft Dec. 18. Police said it involved the theft of $1,170 between Dec. 2 and 18 from a register at Kohl’s Department Store on Dressler Road, where she was employed.
Domestic violence and felony disrupting public services charges were lodged against a Highmill Avenue Northwest man, 66, after he was accused of grabbing a woman’s arm and raising a fist in a threatening manner Dec. 18.
Robbery
A Portage Street Northwest CheckSmart employee told police Dec. 23 that a man with a handgun demanded money but left after he was told the glass separating the two was bulletproof, police reported.
Burglary
Jewelry and a watch, total value over $1,350, were reported stolen Dec. 20 from a Woodlawn Avenue Northwest residence after a door was forced open to gain entry.
On Dec. 19, four rings, including a wedding ring and three with diamonds, were reported stolen from a Crosshaven Avenue Northwest home where a window had been forced open. Value of the missing items wasn’t listed.
Theft
Two people selected three TV sets and four computers, total value $7,868, and left through an emergency door at Sam’s Club on Portage Street Northwest, police were told Dec. 22.

A warrant involving the theft of four tires from Randy’s Automotive on North Main Street in September resulted in the arrest Dec. 23 of an Abbott Place Northwest man, 34.
A Seventh Street Northeast woman, 37, was charged with theft Dec. 22 after police said she took her lunch break at Kmart on North Main Street and pushed a shopping cart with unpaid merchandise, total value $644, into the store’s parking lot.
On Dec. 20, police charged a Lynnhurst Circle Southwest man, 19, with domestic violence, resisting arrest and felony disrupting public services after police said he struck his mother and took her phone. He fought with officers when they arrived, a police report noted.

A 20th Street Northeast man, 20, was charged with domestic violence Dec. 23 after police said he pushed his girlfriend and struck her in the face and abdomen.
A Guilford Avenue Northwest woman, 37, was jailed on warrants for theft, forgery and receiving stolen property Dec. 22.
A warrant for felony domestic violence led to the arrest of a Birmingham Street Northeast man, 39, in the 2100 block of 21st Street Northeast on Dec. 22.
