A Tyro Avenue man, 31, was charged with domestic violence after police said he pushed and slapped his pregnant girlfriend and pulled her hair. Officers had to climb into the attic, where the man was hiding, to apprehend him.
A Margaret Street man, 41, was charged with receiving stolen property. Police said he was stopped at Johnston and Bettie streets with items taken in a burglary on Margaret Street.
A Hartford Avenue man, 25, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, trafficking in drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse marijuana after a traffic stop.
A Tudor Avenue woman, 61, was charged with theft after police said she took drugs from a pharmacy.
A North Jenkins Boulevard man, 21, was charged with felony theft after police said he was found in possession of a stolen gun and video games.
A Wellington Street man, 32, was charged with domestic violence and domestic violence menacing. Police said he argued with his estranged wife, punched her in the back and threatened to kill her before he fled.
A South Main Street man, 60, was charged with drug abuse cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on South Arlington Street.
A West Ingleside man, 44, was charged with drug abuse cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at East Market Street and Goodyear Boulevard.
A Coach Lane, Springfield Township, man, 19, was charged with failure to comply. A police report said he fled from officers in a vehicle that reached speeds exceeding 100 mph and drove through stop signs and red lights.
A Snyder Avenue man, 27, was charged with burglary, violation of a temporary protection order, felony domestic violence and resisting arrest. Police said he climbed through a window at the residence of his child’s mother and assaulted her.
A West Miller Avenue man, 18, was charged with possession of heroin, trafficking in heroin, possession of cocaine, receiving stolen property and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on Olive Street.
A South Hametown Road, Norton, man was charged with drug abuse heroin, possession of drug instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia after police said they found him slumped over the steering wheel in a car on Glendora Avenue.
A Harris Court man, 57, was charged with domestic violence after police said he was involved in an argument with his roommate. He pushed and shoved the woman, causing her to fall and bruise both knees and her left shoulder.
Two Sunset Drive, Lodi, men, ages 42 and 19, were charged with possession of heroin and tampering with evidence after police said they witnessed a drug transaction at 27th Street and California Avenue.
A Roselawn Street man, 28, was charged with trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine after a traffic stop on Gibbs Place.
A South Firestone Boulevard man, 33, and woman, 32, were charged with illegal manufacturing of meth, illegal assembly of chemicals, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said officers responded to a meth lab fire at their residence.

Arrest
A Copley woman, 36, was issued a citation for disorderly conduct Dec. 3. Police said she was intoxicated outside the Salvation Army, with her actions causing traffic problems. She eventually was taken to Akron General Medical Center.
Theft
A 67-year-old resident of Chambrel at Montrose was the apparent victim of credit card theft. Her brother told police Dec. 4 that someone charged $4,500 to her credit card. He said she had lost her wallet but never reported it.

A Pamer Road resident told authorities Dec. 5 that her attached garage was entered and her purse, cash, iPod and other items, total value $1,149, were stolen.
Identity fraud
Someone opened a $600 loan in a Cottage Grove Road woman’s name without her permission, she told a deputy Dec. 2.

A 28-year-old West Portage Trail man was charged with criminal trespassing Dec. 9 after police said he was found sleeping in a storage shed at Home Depot, 325 Howe Ave.

An Akron man reported Dec. 10 his brother used his personal information during a traffic stop.
A Birchwood Avenue woman reported Dec. 7 someone used her identity to open two credit card accounts. Charges to the card exceeded $15,000. Someone also closed her bank account.
Misuse of credit cards
A 17th Street woman reported Dec. 8 someone used her bank debit card for $1,375 in fraudulent purchases.
A Theiss Road woman reported Dec. 9 someone used her credit card to make student loan payments.

A Metro Regional Transit bus driver reported Dec. 11 that a man exposed his genitals to her and masturbated.

A 28-year-old Forest Glen woman reported Dec. 11 that someone touched her inappropriately without her consent.

A Broad Boulevard woman reported Dec. 8 that her Coach purse was taken while she was at the Red Fox, 1767 State Road.

A Lake Milton man, 63, was arrested on a charge of making a false alarm Dec. 10. Police said he called them and said he was robbed at gunpoint. He said $120 was taken. Eventually, he told the police he had given the $120 to another man so he could meet a hooker, but that man ran off with the money instead.
An Akron man, 20, was arrested Dec. 10 on a charge of making bomb threats. Police said he told a Go Calendars employee in Summit Mall that “little gold boxes had bombs in them.” The man had been banned from the mall March 3, so he also was charged with trespassing. He has been banned from Summit Mall indefinitely.
An Akron man, 22, was arrested on a theft charge Dec. 8. Police said he tried to steal a pair of sweatpants and other items, total value $123, from Dillard’s. He has been banned from Dillard’s indefinitely.

A Pepper Pike woman, 19, told police someone stole her purse from her car Dec. 10. She said the car was unlocked in the parking lot at 3296 W. Market St.

Police were called to the Speedway on Mogadore Road on Dec. 9 after a customer left the store with a $460 prepaid credit card without paying. The customer told the clerk she had forgotten her “Speedy Card” and left the store with the prepaid card to retrieve it from her car. The customer came back into the store, went to the ATM and cashed out the prepaid card and left the store.
Open burning
Officers responded to a South Cleveland Avenue home on Dec. 5 for a complaint of an unattended fire. A juvenile at the home told officers that his mother’s boyfriend started the fire and left.

An Easton Road man reported Dec. 9 that someone called his bank and tried to access his account. A bank employee realized the caller was not the owner of the account and notified the owner.

A Wadsworth Road woman reported Dec. 7 that for the second time in two weeks, someone broke into her garage. A snow shovel with an attached ice scraper was stolen.

Domestic violence
A domestic violence warrant was issued for a 46-year-old Lakemore man of Sanitarium Road following an argument with his girlfriend Nov. 30. Police said he slapped the woman and shoved her onto a bed, then broke out a family room window and threw furniture onto the front lawn before leaving.

Body armor, a rifle and ammunition, total value $1,750, were reported stolen from the back of a South Columbine Avenue man’s work truck Dec. 2.
A surround-sound system, video game unit and other items, total value $775, were reported stolen from an Ewart Road home Nov. 29.

A 39-year-old Graham Road man was charged Dec. 8 with domestic violence. He is accused of assaulting a 41-year-old household member by grabbing her and knocking her to the ground.

A 32-year-old Kent Road woman reported someone broke into her home Dec. 10. A bedroom was ransacked and “dic” was carved into a closet floor.

Police were investigating a Dec. 5 report of sexual assault that a 19-year-old Kent woman filed.

A 50-year-old Burton Drive woman reported Dec. 6 that since May 2012 a man has scammed her out of more than $32,000.

An employee of a Seasons Road nursing home reported Dec. 6 that someone entered his office and took from his desk five narcotic pills used to treat opioid abuse.
A 61-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man reported Dec. 6 someone took his wallet from his pocket while he shopped at Walmart, 3620 Hudson Drive.

A 27-year-old North Thomas Road man was charged Dec. 7 with domestic violence. He is accused of assaulting his wife.
A 27-year-old Akron man was arrested Dec. 5 on charges of forgery, receiving stolen property, identity fraud and misuse of a credit card.
A 41-year-old Akron woman was charged Dec. 5 with deception to obtain a dangerous drug. She is accused of presenting two fraudulent prescriptions to a pharmacist at Giant Eagle, 205 West Ave.

Thefts
An Akron woman reported her credit card was stolen from her car while she was at a West Avenue car wash Dec. 4. She later discovered the card was used for more than $500 in unauthorized charges at local businesses.
Three semiautomatic pistols were stolen from Blue Target Firearms, 294 West Ave., during the store’s grand opening Dec. 7.
Electronics and other items, total value $2,500, were taken from a home in the 700 block of Northeast Avenue on Dec. 10. A former house guest is suspected of the theft.

Police were called to Springbrook Drive on Dec. 10 after a 2-year-old told his mother that, “Daddy was going to shoot her.”

Kohl’s called police Dec. 7 to complain of a shoplifter. A review of security images led officers to a Medina address. The woman “was found at an apartment wearing the stolen clothing and jewelry,” according to the police report.

Officers confronted a man begging for money on the ramp to Interstate 71 on Dec. 12. He refused help and was ordered to move along.

A domestic violence charge was lodged against a Yuma Circle man, 42, when arrested Nov. 29 by Hartville police.

On Dec. 3, a South Boulevard Northwest man, 21, turned himself in to Jackson police on a warrant for domestic violence.
Jackson police jailed a Plain Township man, 36, of Maxine Avenue Northeast, on Dec. 2 after he initially was arrested by Canton police on a Jackson warrant for felony domestic violence.
During a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Fulton Drive Northwest on Dec. 2, a Canton woman, 23, of Logan Avenue Northwest, was found to be wanted on a Jackson warrant charging her with felony misuse of a credit card.

A crossbow and other items, total value $970, were reported stolen Nov. 28 from a pickup truck parked in a Canal Place Circle Northwest driveway.
Police were told Nov. 27 that a $700 iPhone was stolen from the Sprint wireless kiosk at Belden Village Mall.
A South Boulevard man reported Nov. 27 that a $500 computer was stolen from his vehicle.
A GPS unit and other items, total value $714, were stolen from a man’s vehicle parked at his Cardington Green Circle Northwest home.
An employee at Motel 6 on Sunset Strip Avenue Northwest told police Nov. 24 that someone stole a $900 carpet scrubber from the business.

A Harmon Street Southwest man, 26, was jailed Dec. 5 on a charge of felony domestic violence after he threw a broken coffee cup at his wife and pushed her during a physical altercation, according to a police report.
On Dec. 3, a Seventh Street Northwest man, 18, surrendered to police on a felonious assault warrant stemming from a physical assault of a woman at a Wise Avenue Northeast location a month earlier.
Police booked a Mount Pleasant Avenue Street Northwest man, 20, on a domestic violence charge Dec. 2. He is accused of striking his girlfriend in the head and face.
Authorities charged a 14-year-old Donner Avenue Northwest boy with domestic violence and placed him in the Stark County Juvenile Attention Center after officers were told he went after a brother and swung at his father during an altercation at the house Dec. 1.

Stark sheriff’s deputies arrested a Wyclif Road Northeast woman, 42, on a charge of domestic violence Dec. 3. She is accused of shooting her boyfriend in the back with a stapler.
A Middlebranch Avenue Northeast man, 42, was booked on warrant charges of assault and domestic violence, both felonies, on Dec. 1.
Deputies jailed a Stone Crossing Street Northeast resident, 42, on a charge of felony theft Nov. 30 after she was accused of taking three personal checks of another woman and writing one to herself for $300.
A 34th Street Northeast man, 31, turned himself in at the Stark County Jail on Nov. 29 on a warrant for felony domestic violence.

Police jailed a Loma Linda Circle Northwest resident, 22, on a charge of aggravated burglary Dec. 5 following two sessions of questioning concerning the theft of a shotgun, four rifles, ammunition and other items from a Farmcreek Avenue Northwest residence.
Police booked a Lake Township woman, 25, of Springwater Avenue on charges of domestic violence and disorderly conduct Dec. 3 following an incident in which police said she argued with her sister and tried to keep her from leaving home to go to work.

A Canaan Township boy, 15, was arrested Dec. 5 on a charge of felonious assault after deputies said he beat a 15-year-old boy with a stick at their residence, Christian Children’s Home, 2685 Armstrong Road. The victim was treated at Wooster Community Hospital, a report said.

A laptop computer, a television and musical equipment, total value $1,840, were reported stolen Dec. 8 from Emmanuel Church of Christ, 6000 Congress Road, Chester Township.

A PlayStation3, compact discs and other items, total value $1,555, were reported stolen Dec. 7 from a residence in the 1600 block of Sylvan Road, Wooster Township.
A PlayStation3 worth $316 was reported taken Dec. 7 from a residence in the 5700 block of Cleveland Road, Wayne Township.
Thefts
A laptop computer, a television and $250, total value $2,100, were reported stolen Dec. 7 from Truth Baptist Church, 12457 N. Elyria Road, Congress Township. Doors to the church sustained damage estimated at $700.
A chain-link fence and a trailer valued at $446 were reported stolen Dec. 6 from a residence in the 3400 block of Lattasburg Road, Chester Township. The items later were recovered at Wayco Recyling in Wayne Township.
Two grain bin jacks worth $3,000 were reported taken Dec. 5 from a yard in the 5000 block of Coal Bank Road, Baughman Township.
Cash and a purse with credit cards, total value $244, were reported stolen Dec. 4 from three unlocked vehicles in the 16700 block of Fox Lake Road, Baughman Township.
