A 41-year-old Boulevard Street man was arrested on felonious assault and weapons under disability after police said he got into an argument and shot another man.
A 41-year-old city man was charged with breaking and entering after police said he broke out a window of a business and attempted to remove a safe.
A 30-year-old Lake Street man was charged with drug abuse after police said drugs were found in his pocket during a traffic stop.
A 43-year-old was charged with OVI, drug abuse, paraphernalia and obstruction. He was arrested during a traffic stop.
A 39-year-old Herberich Avenue man was charged with weapons under disability after officers responded to a domestic fight with weapons.
A 34-year-old city man was charged with aggravated robbery and burglary after police said he was discovered burglarizing a home and attacked the homeowner.

An Eighth Street Northwest resident, 45, was charged with felony domestic violence Nov. 12 after police said he choked his girlfriend, pinned her down and threatened to snap her neck. He was jailed after police said he was found hiding in the woods behind his apartment.
A Newell Street man, 35, was jailed Nov. 7 on a charge of domestic violence threats after police said he threatened a woman at his home.
A Borden Street male, 22, was jailed Nov. 11 on charges of domestic violence and disrupting public services, four days after an altercation at the couple’s residence. He was initially arrested by Norton police and transferred to Barberton police.
Burglaries
A Wunderlich Avenue man told police Nov. 13 that a second-floor window was opened and a Wii video system, about 25 DVDs, a DVD player and a cellphone, total value $800, were stolen.
An East Hiram Street resident said a variety of items including a flat-screen TV, total value $4,949, were stolen from her residence Nov. 12.
A rear window was used to enter a 22nd Street Northwest home Nov. 11. Items valued at $4,585, including a $2,000 wedding and engagement ring set, were stolen.
On Nov. 11, a Benton Street woman told police her $800 snow thrower was stolen from her detached garage.
A flat-screen TV was among items valued at $740 that were reported stolen Nov. 9 from a First Street Northwest home.
Thieves made off with 30 golf cart batteries, total value $11,100, from a South Avenue building Nov. 7, police said.
A gold heart necklace was among several items stolen Nov. 7 during a Herms Court house burglary.

A Barberton man told police Nov. 13 that he lost his debit card at the Giant Eagle store on Fifth Street Southeast and found out two days later that someone without permission made purchases totaling $1,257.

A Copley Road man, 52, told police Nov. 11 someone stole his 1984 Honda dirt bike out of his garage.

A Hohman Avenue resident said Nov. 9 that her vehicle was entered and an iPad, video game system and cash, total value $705, were stolen.

An Akron man, 28, told police someone stole his iPhone 5 from his car. It was parked in the Summit Mall parking lot. He said it was unlocked.
An Akron woman, 33, is accused of stealing $400 in Dr. Dre speakers from Target on Nov. 18. Store security noticed a woman on camera leave the store without paying. The suspect was later arrested Nov. 19 in Barberton and charged with identity theft.
An Akron man, 20, was arrested and charged with theft Nov. 16. He allegedly stole a $90 watch from Macy’s Department Store. He has been banned from Macy’s for three years.
Two unknown people stole a box containing 17 pairs of Maui Jim sunglasses from the Sunglass Hut Nov. 14. They stole the glasses after a store employee left a glass cabinet unlocked. The total value of the stolen glasses was $4,000.
An Akron teen, 17, was arrested and charged with trespassing at Walmart on Nov. 15. He had been banned from Walmart in the past for theft. He was released to his mother.

A felony domestic violence charge led to the jailing of a Schneiderman Lane man, 44, on Nov. 11 after his girlfriend said he grabbed her and ripped her shirt during an argument.
Thefts
A $1,055 laptop computer, case and briefcase were reported stolen from a sport utility vehicle parked in the driveway of a Skyside Drive residence Nov. 14.
Authorities were told Nov. 7 that eight aluminum wheels, total value $5,000, were stolen from four trucks at Doug Chevrolet on South Arlington Road.
Cash totaling $500 was reported stolen Nov. 1 from an unlocked desk at the Area Agency on Aging on Corporate Woods Parkway.
A Ramsey Drive resident reported Oct. 28 that four tires and four rims plus tools, total value $2,500, were stolen from his residence.

An Akron man, 50, of Stull Avenue was jailed on felony charges of forgery and carrying a concealed weapon after New Franklin police stopped him at Caldwell Drive and Manchester Road on Nov. 9. Police said two fake $50 bills, two homemade axes, two knives and a meat cleaver were found in his possession.

Police jailed a Minerva man on charges of robbery and theft Nov. 14. They said he had $594 worth of clothing when apprehended at the Kohl’s Department Store on South Arlington Road. A report stated the suspect tried to get away by pushing a store employee, who confronted him, but the worker restrained him until police arrived.

Officers were called to the Discount Drug Mart on Walling Road on Nov. 20 after a motorist struck a parked car, then the building.

Police were called Nov. 15 to a home on Cross Creek Drive to investigate an argument between a woman and her adult son. The son took a knife and cut his mother’s arm and held it to her throat, police said.

Police were called to West Liberty Street on Nov. 17 to settle an argument over the “wording on a lottery ticket.”

Police were called Country Club Drive on Nov. 20 to settle dispute over leaves. A neighbor was upset that a teen had dumped leaves in a wooded area and called the girl a “half wit” and grabbed her arm.

Officers were called to the Methodist church on Foote Road on Nov. 18 after a man grabbed a clipboard out of the hands of a female and hit her with it. The man was upset that the female had bumped into his leg.

Arrests
Police charged a 20th Street Northwest resident, 20, with domestic violence Nov. 13 after officers said that during an argument she struck her boyfriend in the head and face, causing visible injuries.
A Brighton Circle Northwest man, 23, was jailed in Stark on warrants for six counts of theft and one of felony burglary after he was picked up at the Summit County Jail on Nov. 12.
A Bryce Circle Northwest resident, 35, was jailed on charges of felony disrupting public services and domestic violence Nov. 11. Police said he was accused of pushing his wife against a wall and refrigerator, taking her cellphone and fleeing. He later turned himself in to police.
Police arrested a Portage Street Northwest man, 35, on a charge of domestic violence Nov. 11. He is accused of arguing with his mother and grabbing her so she couldn’t get away from him.

A Golden Eagle Road Northwest man told police Nov. 12 that a $1,500 laptop computer was stolen from the home’s kitchen area.
An $800 notebook computer was stolen from a Coldwater Avenue Northwest home Nov. 6 after someone pried open a garage door to gain entry.
Theft
A $4,000 trailer and $5,000 worth of carpentry tools were reported stolen Oct. 23 from behind Palombo’s Restaurant on Portage Street Northwest.

A warrant for domestic violence and endangering children was filed Nov. 4 for a Sheraton Drive Northwest woman, 33, who eight days earlier allegedly argued with two daughters and pushed one child into a computer desk and punched her several times.

A domestic violence charge led to the jailing of a Radford Street Northwest man Nov. 12. He is accused of punching a person in the arm and thighs, causing bruising and injury, a Stark County sheriff’s deputy’s report stated.

A rifle valued at $700 was reported stolen Nov. 14 from a residence in the 5900 block of Hoy Road, Franklin Township.
A Congress Township woman reported Nov. 16 that she believed someone broke into her house in the 100 block of South Maple Street, Congress Township, but nothing was taken.
A diamond necklace and earrings were reported stolen Oct. 31 from a residence in the 3900 block of Eastern Road, Chippewa Township.
Domestic violence
A Wooster Township woman, 42, reported Nov. 15 that a man injured her during a dispute at her residence in the 1600 block of Sylvan Road. The woman was taken to a hospital, and deputies were looking for the suspect, a report said.
Vandalism
Someone broke a window of a vehicle Nov. 17 and threw eggs on the driveway of Thompson Services, 8427 Krabill Road, Milton Township, a report said.

Checks for $200 and $750 in cash were reported stolen Nov. 15 from Roger’s Produce, 16044 E. Main St., Mount Eaton.
