Arrests
A Wall Street man, 19, was charged with willful fleeing, receiving stolen property and obstructing official business after he allegedly led police on a car chase in a stolen vehicle. After crashing the car, he ran away. The man was wanted on warrants alleging domestic violence and menacing.
A South Hawkins Avenue man, 29, was charged with failure to obtain a concealed-carry permit, improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and using a weapon while intoxicated. Police heard gunshots during a traffic stop and saw the man drive slowly past them. Officers stopped the car and found a gun on the floor.
A Bachtel Avenue man, 26, was charged with drug abuse, failure to obtain a concealed-carry permit and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop. Police said he was driving under suspension, and reported finding a knife, crack and drug scale.
A Sanford Avenue man, 55, was charged with aggravated robbery after he allegedly used a knife to hold up a hotel clerk and steal money from a cash register.

A Seventh Street Northwest man, 45, and a Sixth Street Northwest Man, 26, were charged with burglary after they allegedly broke into an Eighth Street Northwest home.
A Douglass Avenue woman, 38, was charged with domestic violence Oct. 14 after she allegedly punched a man in the face while she was quarreling with her mother.
A Doylestown man, 28, was charged with burglary after he allegedly was caught going through the drawers of a 31st Street Southwest home.
A Quincy Avenue man, 21, was charged with attempted aggravated burglary Oct. 12 after a Grandview Avenue resident heard someone open a back door. The homeowner chased the man and subdued him until police arrived. The suspect told police that his $1,300 computer had been pawned by two acquaintances for money.
A Pittsburgh man, 40, was charged with domestic violence Oct. 11 after his daughter said the man pushed her on her back and attempted to sexually assault her before fleeing.
A Michigan Place woman, 20, was charged with domestic violence Oct. 10 after she allegedly punched the father of their son while walking in front of Kmart on Wooster Road North.

A Barberton High School teacher told police Oct. 14 that she took off her $10,000 diamond ring at school and then couldn’t find it.
A Fairview Avenue woman told police Oct. 11 that someone used her credit card to make a $1,000 online purchase from Walgreens.

A San Raphael Drive man reported Oct. 17 that someone used his personal information to open a credit card account in Texas.

Arrest
A driver, 34, was charged with losing control of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of a crash Oct. 20. Police said he ran into a fire hydrant and hit a boat on a trailer after borrowing his girlfriend’s car.
Thefts
A manager at Applebee’s told police that a group of teens left without paying for their meals Oct. 20. They left behind a cellphone, but it was locked. The manager said he won’t press charges if the youths come back and pay their bill.
A Magdalyn Drive man reported that he was expecting a shipment of 90 Percocets from a Beachwood pharmacy, but it never arrived in the mail. Police said it was not clear if the medication was lost or stolen.

A High Street woman, 23, was charged with child endangering Oct. 22 after she allegedly left her 1-year-old baby unsupervised on a seventh-floor balcony with the apartment door closed. The woman’s two children were placed in the custody of Summit County Children Services.
Criminal simulation
Three counterfeit $10 bills were used to purchase cigarettes and alcohol at True North Shell, 2916 Oakwood Drive, on Oct. 23. Two fake $20 bills were used to buy food Oct. 18-19 at Burger King on Howe Avenue.
Breaking and entering
Someone broke into the Paradise Club, 1710 Front St., and stole more than $300 on Oct. 22. Damage to a door was estimated at $500.
Felonious assault
A Barberton man, 44, reported Oct. 19 that a man threw him to the ground after he escorted his girlfriend out of Wings Warehouse, 4165 Wyoga Lake Road. He was transported to a hospital for treatment of a broken collarbone.
Burglary
An intruder stole a video game system, video game and $15 from a home in the 3100 block of Bailey Road on Oct. 18. The burglar hacked a keypad entry system to enter the garage.
Identity theft
A Cleveland man reported that someone used his personal information to deposit a $4,000 check to his State Road bank, then withdrew $400.
Thefts
A Beacon Hill Circle woman reported Oct. 21 that someone used her debit card to make more than $3,500 in unauthorized charges.
More than $1,700 in scrap was stolen from the Portage Crossing construction site Sept. 13-Oct. 17.
A Front Street woman, 52, reported Oct. 19 that someone stole a wallet from her purse at Giant Eagle.
A 2012 Ford Focus was stolen Oct. 17 from an unlocked garage in the 200 block of Eaton Avenue.
A 23rd Street woman, 38, reported Oct. 18 that someone stole her purse Oct. 18 from a cart at Target, 449 Howe Ave., and used a credit card to make unauthorized purchases.
A tuba and case, total value nearly $2,300, were reported stolen Oct. 18 from Central Instrument Co., 739 Portage Trail.

An Akron woman, 63, was charged with theft Oct. 22 after she allegedly tried to steal a pair of sunglasses from Giant Eagle on West Market Street.
A Canal Fulton man, 33, was arrested Oct. 20 after police said he broke a car window and stole a purse.
An Akron woman, 23, was charged with drug abuse Oct. 18 after an officer reported finding her smoking marijuana in the fire lane of Summit Mall.
An Akron woman, 47, was charged with theft Oct. 18 after she allegedly stole $400 in goods from Buckle on West Market Street.
Suspicious vehicle
A Trunko Road woman reported a suspicious car in her driveway Oct. 18 with teen occupants. Police charged one boy, 16, with carrying a concealed weapon, possessing drug paraphernalia and breaking curfew. The other boy, 16, was charged with breaking curfew.

A Meadow Wood Lane resident reported Oct. 17 that a snow blower and other equipment, total value $1,100, were stolen from a shed.
Burglary
A woman who came to her boyfriend’s South Main Street home to let out his dogs Oct. 16 found the house in disarray and a wall-mounted TV gone. Also stolen were several guns and other items, total value $5,256.
Thefts
Someone entered a minivan Oct. 17 on East Turkeyfoot Lake Road and stole four purses and other items, total value $2,131.
Two flat-screen TVs and two radio/TV monitors, total value $4,400, were stolen Oct. 14 from four recreational vehicles at General RV on Greensburg Road.
Tools and equipment, total value $1,140, were reported stolen Oct. 11 from a van on Woodland Drive and belonging to Thompson Electric of Munroe Falls.

A Midland Avenue man, 40, was being sought Oct. 15 on two counts of domestic violence, one count a felony, after he allegedly hit his wife and threatened his stepdaughters.

A Baughman Road woman told police Oct. 15 that someone entered her home and stole $44,000 in jewelry.

A Meadow Spring Circle boy, 17, was arrested after allegedly threatening to beat up and kill a classmate. A teacher overheard the remark about the beating, police said.
A Shanafelt Avenue man, 20, was charged with domestic violence Oct. 8 after he allegedly picked up his girlfriend by the neck and smashed her cellphone.
A McElwain Road man, 20, was charged with domestic violence Oct. 10 after he allegedly threw items around his parents’ house and threatened to get a gun and shoot them.

A Maplehurst Drive man, 42, was charged with assault Oct. 22 after he allegedly punched a North Canton man, 50, on Fishcreek Road near Maplehurst Drive. The men had been involved in a road-rage incident.

A female prisoner from Broadview Heights was charged with bringing cocaine into the North Royalton Jail.
Officers were called to an Akins Road home Oct. 19 over reports of a loud party. Juveniles fled the house as officers arrived. Some teens were rounded up and turned over to their parents. One adult was arrested.

Officers responded to an Akins Road home Oct. 16 after the owner reported that a mailbox was blown up.
A Pinckneya Drive resident called police Oct. 16 to report that someone applied finger paint to the windows of a Mercedes. The paint washed off.

An officer driving Oct. 18 on Hickory Ridge Avenue noticed a woman “squatting next to a vehicle” on Stearns Street with “her pants pulled down.” She tried to drive off. Then she told police that “the wet mark on the pavement was the result of her pouring out a beer can.” She later admitted to urinating on a public roadway.

Officers responded to Memorial Elementary School on Oct. 20 for a report of a truck driving on the lawn. Officers arrested a Vermilion man who admitted driving on the lawn.

A Donner Avenue Northwest boy, 16, was charged with possessing a deadly weapon Oct. 10 at Hoover High School. An associate principal found a shank-type weapon in the student’s locker. The youth told police he had the weapon for protection.
A Canton woman, 18, of Girard Avenue Northeast, was arrested Oct. 11 on a warrant alleging that she passed bad checks involving a $3,189 riding mower from Tractor Supply on Whipple Avenue Northwest.
A Canton woman, 20, of 21st Street Northwest, was arrested Oct. 11 on a robbery warrant following the theft of $62 in merchandise from Gabriel Brothers on Whipple Avenue Northwest. She allegedly struck a security guard several times in the head several times when he tried to stop her.
