A 13th Street Southwest man, 42, was charged with hit-skip, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driving under suspension, obstructing official police business and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said he struck a motorcycle with his vehicle, then parked the car and ran. Officers said he was wanted on a theft warrant.
A Maywood Avenue man, 39, was charged with felonious assault after he allegedly stabbed a woman during a quarrel.
A 12th Street Southwest man, 33, was charged with aggravated burglary and felonious assault after he allegedly forced his way into an 11th Street home and struck a resident in the head before fleeing.
A Joy Avenue woman, 21, was charged with domestic violence after she allegedly pushed and scratched her husband during a quarrel. Police said the woman was intoxicated.
A Dayton Street man, 45, was charged with breaking and entering after he allegedly forced his way into an East Cuyahoga Falls Avenue business and stole a cash register drawer.
An Orlando Avenue man, 41, was charged with burglary after he allegedly forced his way into an East Cuyahoga Falls Avenue home and rummaged through a resident’s dresser drawers.
A Dayton Street man, 45, was charged with breaking and entering after he allegedly smashed the front window of an East Cuyahoga Falls Avenue business, entered the building and stole $40.
A Cuyahoga Falls woman, 30, of Fairland Street, was charged with theft of drugs and illegal processing of a drug document. Police said she took drugs for personal use while employed as a registered nurse.
A North Howard Street man, 38, was charged with drug trafficking and littering. While responding to a fight call, police saw the man urinating on a sidewalk with his pants pulled down.
A Cuyahoga Falls woman, 29, of Bailey Road, and a Alpha Avenue man, 51, were charged with drug trafficking after police reported seeing them making a drug transaction.
A Fairbanks Place woman, 33, was charged with possession of meth, drug instruments and drug paraphernalia in a parking lot on Mogadore Road.
A Briner Avenue woman, 31, was charged with trafficking, possession of drugs, drug instruments and drug paraphernalia, and child endangering following a traffic stop at Eastwood Avenue and Darrow Road. Police reported finding 21 Percocet pills and syringes. The woman’s son, 10, was in the vehicle with her.
An Oakland Avenue man and woman, both 50, were charged with receiving stolen property, possession of meth and drug paraphernalia. Police said the two had a stolen motorcycle, 1 gram of meth, snort straws and a digital scale at their residence.
A Raymond Street man, 32, was charged with receiving stolen property, drug abuse and possessing drug paraphernalia. Police said he had marijuana in a stolen car.
A 10th Street Southwest man, 25, and an Archwood Avenue man, 22 were charged with receiving stolen property and possessing drugs after being pulled over in a stolen car on Watson Street.
A Bulger Avenue man, 27, was charged with drug abuse after police reported finding him passed out behind the wheel ofas vehicle at Arlington Street and Archwood Avenue.
An Akron man, 29, was charged with burglary, drug abuse and misrepresentation of identity following a burglary on Kenmore Boulevard.
A Gibbs Place woman, 31, was charged with permitting drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cocaine.
An Akron man, 46, was charged with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they stopped the man’s vehicle on North Arlington Street after he was observed making a drug transaction.

An Akron man, 40, of Florida Avenue, and a Doylestown man, 40, of Calaboone Driver, were charged with breaking and entering and possessing criminal tools following a burglary at Petit’s Car Wash on Wooster Road North on Aug. 12.
A 27th Street Northwest man, 18, was charged with domestic violence Aug. 10 after he allegedly hit his live-in girlfriend in the shoulder. The next day he was found hiding in the attic.

A Fourth Street Northwest man told police Aug. 12 that several antiques, total value $25,000, were stolen from his home.

A State Street woman reported Aug. 12 that her credit-card information was used without permission to make purchases totaling $2,061.

Underage Driver
Police stopped a speeding vehicle Aug. 13 on Hametown Road and found a boy, 14, behind the steering wheel. A resident called police after seeing the Buick Park Avenue driving back and forth above the speed limit. An officer stopped the car when it rolled through a stop sign. The boy was charged with driving without a license and failing to heed a stop sign. He and a passenger, 13, were released to their parents.

Someone spray-painted landscaping and signs Aug. 17 at Revere High School.
Theft
A woman reported Aug. 19 that her diamond engagement ring was taken from her workplace in the 300 block of Springside Drive.

A 21st Street man, 41, was charged with domestic violence Aug. 20 after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend.
An Akron man, 28, was charged with violating a protection order Aug. 21 after he allegedly contacted a Fourth Court woman.
Breaking and entering
Someone broke into Thayer Power and Communication, 3432 State Road, and took more than $1,300 in tools Aug. 19.
Burglary
Someone broke into a home in the 1800 block of Sackett Avenue on Aug. 19 and stole $10,000 in jewelry.
Identity theft
An Ardella Road man reported Aug. 22 that someone used his personal information to withdraw $6,000 from his bank account.
Sexual assault
An Akron woman, 23, told police Aug. 18 she was sexually assaulted.
Thefts
A Kyser Parkway man told police Aug. 21 that someone stole his wallet in a checkout line at Acme Fresh Market, 2226 State Road. Credit cards were used for unauthorized purchases.
Catalytic converters, total value $4,000, were stolen Aug. 20 from five Dodge Ram trucks at Falls Chrysler Jeep Dodge, 4100 State Road.
A Sixth Street man reported Aug. 17 someone has been entering his home and taking miscellaneous items and food. He suspects his neighbors.
Green
Lasers at airliners
The FBI and Summit County sheriff’s deputies were investigating reports that someone shined a green laser at three airliners arriving Aug. 4 at Akron-Canton Airport. An Air Tran Airways pilot said the laser was pointed at his cockpit for about five minutes southwest of the airport before 11 p.m. A Southwest pilot filed a similar report to the Air Tran pilot, while a PSA Airlines pilot said he was about three miles southwest of the airport when a similar incident occurred after 10 p.m.

An Ashton Drive man was charged with domestic violence Aug. 15 after he allegedly grabbed his wife by her arms and threw her around the house.
While investigating a domestic dispute Aug. 15 at a Mayfair Road home, police discovered three theft warrants, including two felonies, for an Akron resident, 46, of Sheffield Drive.
An Akron man, 55, of Bender Avenue, was arrested Aug. 15 on a felony domestic violence warrant at an East Turkeyfoot Lake Road location.
Burglary
An iPad and printer, total value $750, were reported stolen Aug. 14 from a Cheshire Road home.
Theft
About 600 pounds of copper and other items, total value $2,000, were reported stolen from scrap bins on East Turkeyfoot Lake Road.

Animal cruelty
Hudson police responded to a report about a dog in a car Aug. 17 in the parking lot of JoAnn Fabrics, 5381 Darrow Road. A witness reported that a small dog was inside a Honda Civic with the windows closed. The dog was panting and coughing. An officer checked the car’s registration, and located the owner, 71, in the store. The officer said the woman was “shocked” that she forgot to leave the window cracked for the dog, and immediately left the store to tend to her pet.

A Granby Drive man was charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia Aug. 6.

Someone stole copper pipes from a vacant home in the 2300 block of West Hale Drive before Aug. 13.

Thefts
Someone stole power tools, including hedge clippers, weed trimmers, chain saws and a leaf blower, total value $1,969, from a city garage Aug. 17-19 at Greenwood Cemetery.
A $400 Schecter Diamond Series bass guitar was stolen from the bedroom closet of a city man. Police discovered that the owner’s daughter had pawned the guitar.
A resident told police that someone stole the owner’s manuals from two cars parked in his driveway.

A Melton Avenue resident was charged with identity fraud and felony theft Aug. 12 after allegedly using someone else’s information to sign up for two Capital One credit cards and run up charges totaling $284.
A West Caston Road man was charged with disrupting public services Aug. 10 after he allegedly called 911 repeatedly to complain about his son being arrested.
A Vanderhoof Road man, 31, was charged with felony domestic violence Aug. 10, a day after he allegedly grabbed his girlfriend by the hair and threw her into a wooden gate.

A coin collection valued at $60,000 was stolen from a Krancz Drive home Aug. 18-22.
A .22 caliber rifle and 100 pairs of shoes were among items stolen from a home Aug. 18-22 in the 3300 block of Clarkmill Road.

Police officers were called Aug. 20 to the Royal Park Condos on North Akins Road after vandals threw sand and chairs into a pool and spray-painted signs.
Domestic
A North Akins Road woman called police Aug. 20 for help in calming her son, 13, who was “having a tantrum because his older brother was getting a bigger bedroom.” The officer told the boy to “grow up” and realize the consequences of domestic violence and parental disciplinary rights.

Trespassing
Officers were called to Alderwood Oval on Aug. 17 to confront two men camping in the woods. The two told police they “had been living” in the woods for two weeks. They were charged with trespassing.
Assault
Officers were called to Turnbridge Court on Aug. 19 because a couple was quarreling. A man told officers that his girlfriend “ripped the thermostat off the wall and hit him in the chest,” causing minor injuries.
Arson
Officers responded Aug. 20 to a report of a small fire on the porch of a home on Marion Parkway. A small paper bag was set ablaze on the porch, causing minor damage to a storm door. Neighbors said they saw a group of young males run from the area.
Theft
The owner of a Pearl Road restaurant called police to report that someone called claiming to be with Ohio Edison and said the power would be shut off unless a payment of $1,150 was made immediately. The caller was able to steal $1,000 via money orders before the owner became suspicious.

Officers were called to Branch Road on Aug. 16 after a woman complained that a neighbor was taking videos and pictures through a balcony patio door. The man told officers he “doing this to document noise complaints as well as suspected drug activity” in the apartment. Since the man was taking the photos from a common area, he was not violating any law. The woman was advised to close her curtains.

Police said she spit in an officer’s eye and kicked him twice in the leg. Her Canton boyfriend, 39, of Fourth Street Northwest, was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct.
A North Canton man, 44, of Hillcrest Avenue Southwest was charged with grand theft Aug. 10 after he allegedly admitted taking $25,601 in jewelry from a Malory Circle Northwest home Aug. 2 and selling it to an Alliance gold shop.
A Seymour Street Northwest male, 44, was charged with domestic violence Aug. 11 after he allegedly grabbed a woman around the neck, lifted her off the floor and pushed her to the ground.

Pursuit
Wayne County deputies assisted Marshallville police in pursuing a four-wheeler Aug. 18 on Coal Bank and Bieri roads in Chippewa Township. The driver was not apprehended, but a suspect was identified, a report said.
Thefts
A DVD and Vicodin tablets, total value $101, were reported stolen Aug. 14 from a home in the 12700 block of Goudy Road, Sugar Creek Township.
A representative of Frontz Drilling Inc., 2031 Millersburg Road, Wooster Township, reported Aug. 15 that he suspected an employee of taking $5,100 from the business.
