Akron officers on patrol in East Akron Tuesday night heard gunshots, but didn’t respond to a 9-1-1 call: The apparent target of the bullets came to running them, police said.
The incident happened about 9:30 p.m. near Ericsson Avenue and Keys Place.
According to police, a 25 year-old man confronted younger man about a stolen game system and the younger man, carrying a gun, opened fire.
The 25 year-old ran until he saw a police cruiser. No one was injured, but police said several apartments in the area were hit by stray bullets.
