Would you risk going to jail for a few things you wanted at a Family Dollar store?
Akron police say two young women did Monday night on South Arlington Street.
According to police, the women — estimated to be 19 and 23 years old — went into a Family Dollar at 6:40 p.m., walked around and put merchandise into their purses. When the women tried to leave without paying, a store employee confronted them.
“One female attempted to throw a punch at the employee, while the second suspect threatened to assault the employee,” police said in a statement.
The women fled in a dark green, two-door Acura with a temporary license plate.
Police — who didn’t say what the women are accused of taking — consider the case a robbery.
