A 21-year-old man was treated for his injuries after he was robbed by two males Monday night on the 400 block of East South Street in Akron.
The confrontation occurred shortly after 11 p.m. Police said one of the suspects pistol-whipped the victim on the forehead and demanded money. The suspect fired a round but missed the victim. The second suspect then took the victim’s cellphone and shoes, and both suspects fled.
The victim suffered a minor cut to his forehead and a minor abrasion on his right hand.
The first suspect was described as black, 17-21 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, 150-170 pounds with a goatee, wearing a dark black jacket and red hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect was described as black, 21-23 years old, 5-foot-10 to 6--foot-1 and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with black lettering.
