A man, 22, with no known address, was charged with robbery after police said he and another man beat a person in a parking lot and took a cellphone and $200.
Three men were charged with breaking and entering after police said they caught them entering a secured area of a scrap yard on Hazel Street and attempting to steal scrap metal. Arrested after a brief foot chase with police were: a Shady Acres Drive man, 43; a man, 38, with no permanent address; and a North Arlington Street man, 54.
A Canton man, 33, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a defaced firearm and having weapons while under disability after police said he was inside an Akron club with a loaded gun that had its serial number scratched off.
A Hedden Street man, 37, was charged with felony willful flee, obstructing official business and driving under suspension after a traffic stop.
An Excelsior Avenue man, 44, was charged with domestic violence with a previous conviction after police said he choked his wife during an altercation at a bar on Copley Road.

A Chittenden Street man, 32, was charged with domestic violence with a previous conviction after police said he hit his child’s mother in the face and pinned her against the wall.
A Clement Avenue man, 54, was charged with felonious assault after police said he was at a Brown Street bar when he punched another man several times in a fight over the suspect’s wife.
A Madison Avenue man, 23, was charged with having weapons under disability after police said he was observed in a cellphone photo holding a firearm taken in a burglary on Montgomery Street in December. His brother, 21, was charged with weapons under disability after police said he was observed on a video firing a handgun.
A Flora Avenue man, 26, was charged with multiple counts of receiving stolen property after police said he and two accomplices sold property stolen from scrap yards on various dates.
A Neptune Avenue man, 50, was charged with violation of a protection order after police said he left messages on the victim’s phone.
An Ardella Street man, 39, was charged with receiving stolen property after police said he was in possession of a car that was reported stolen.
A Clement Street man, 54, was charged with receiving stolen property after police said he was in possession of a car that was reported stolen.
A 15th Street Southwest woman, 41, was charged with felony theft after police said she took a $1,200 ring from a friend’s house. The ring was found at a local pawn shop.
A Bellevue Avenue woman, 18, was charged with receiving stolen property after police said she was driving a vehicle without headlights and taillights that officers determined had been reported as stolen.
An Old Main Street man, 37, was charged with domestic violence with a previous conviction after police said he was involved in a verbal argument with his girlfriend that escalated and he then struck her in the face with a frying pan.
A Hemlock Hills Drive man, 25, was charged with felony theft after police said he was in possession of stolen checks.

A man, 34, was charged Feb. 26 with domestic violence menacing and violating a protection order. He is accused of threatening his girlfriend in the parking lot of Red Lobster, 3901 Medina Road.

A Medina Line Road couple reported Feb. 28 that someone used their personal information to file a federal tax return.

A former manager of 7-Eleven, 1205 Main St., was arrested March 2. She is accused of using money from the store to cover missing money at a Solon store, for a total of nearly $19,000 taken between Jan. 20 and Feb. 26.
A Northland Street man, 32, accused of kicking out the window of a police holding cell and striking an officer, is charged with criminal damaging, resisting arrest and assault of a peace officer.
A Second Street man, 28, was charged Feb. 27 with disorderly conduct. He is accused of being drunk and shining a laser light into the windshields of oncoming traffic, nearly causing an accident.
An Akron man was charged March 4 with domestic violence. He is accused of punching the mother of his child in the arm and threatening to kill her.

Someone attempted to gain entry into an apartment in the 700 block of Munroe Falls Avenue on March 3 by kicking open a back door.

A Keyser Parkway man reported March 2 that someone used his personal information to file a fraudulent tax return.
A Lynn Drive man reported Feb. 28 someone used his deceased wife’s personal information to secure a store credit card and charged nearly $800.

The girlfriend, 27, of a Massillon Road man was charged with felony domestic violence Feb. 25. A sheriff’s report said she slapped him and kept him from leaving a bedroom.
A Chicago woman, 21, was charged with felony forgery Feb. 20 after a New York fraud alert concerning her was received by an employee at the Fifth Third Bank on South Arlington Road as she tried to complete a transaction with a fraudulent check.
Thefts
A Woodsfield, Ohio, woman told police someone took her debit card while she was at an Arlington Ridge East business and used it at several locations totaling $1,000.
A purse and contents, including 20 gift cards, total value $1,000, were reported stolen from a vehicle parked at Paragon Health Associates on Boettler Road on Feb. 20. A driver’s side window was smashed to reach the items.
A Samoa Drive resident told deputies Feb. 18 that his Social Security number and birth date were used to obtain a student loan, which is in default on the victim’s credit card, totaling $4,917, investigators reported.

A Columbia Woods Drive man reported Feb. 27 that someone used his identity to apply for a credit card. He discovered the fraud when he received a collection letter.

Warrants for domestic violence and assault have been issued for a Lakemore man, 29, of Lakeside Drive following a disturbance in which police said he pushed his girlfriend and her brother into a wall and punched the man several times.
Warrants for domestic violence and violation of a protection order were issued after police were told Feb. 24 that a Marion Avenue man, 39, assaulted his girlfriend and forced her to leave with him. He then assaulted her again when they returned before he fled, a report said.
Thefts
A $1,400 diamond ring, which a Howard, Ohio, woman said she left on a restroom sink at the Walmart store on South Arlington Road, was gone when she returned, according to a Feb. 19 police report.
A Green resident told police Feb. 16 that she left her wallet and contents, total value $650, on a shelf at Kohl’s on South Arlington Road as she looked at items. When she realized that, she discovered the wallet was gone.

Assault
Police were called to the Speedway station on Portage Street Northwest about 2:30 p.m. Feb. 16 after an argument involving two suspects — a man and a woman — and two victims. Police said the man brandished a gun and threatened to kill one of the victims. Then the victims were pepper-sprayed. Police said the suspects are between the ages 35 and 40 live in northeast Canton.

A $1,500 air conditioner was reported stolen Feb. 23 from the south side of the Cardinal Glass and Mirror building on Whipple Avenue Northwest.
A spokesperson for Fleming-Wise Orthodontics on Frank Avenue Northwest told police Feb. 20 that a $10,000 orascanner camera had been stolen from the facility.
A Plain Township resident told officers that her $500 iPhone was stolen Feb. 14 from a table at the Skymax trampoline facility on Freedom Avenue Northwest.

Canton Municipal Court prosecutors declined to prosecute a 24-year-old North Canton man after a female student at Walsh University told officers that he raped her in a parking lot on Wise Avenue Northeast on Jan. 23.

An Akron man, 24, who was being held at Wayne County Jail, was reported missing March 4 from Wooster Community Hospital, where he had been taken for treatment. The man was serving a sentence for having weapons under disability.
A Wooster woman, 31, fled from a Canton home March 2 where she was serving a sentence from Wayne County Common Pleas Court on house arrest. A report said she cut a GPS tracking device from her body and left.

A Plain Township woman, 34, reported Feb. 23 that someone used her Social Security number to file taxes.

A heart monitor and $10 were reported taken March 3 from a pickup truck in the 14400 block of Hatfield Road, Chippewa Township.
A shotgun and three chain saws valued at $2,800 were reported stolen Feb. 28 from a residence in the 5500 block of Mechanicsburg Road, Chester Township.

A Massillon man, 20, of the 700 block of Cherry Road was charged March 2 with possession of heroin, possession of crack cocaine and possession of cocaine after police found him with drugs at a residence in the 600 block of Washington Street, a report said.

Someone broke into a building in the 600 block of East Henry Street and tried to remove a 2003 Honda motorcycle valued at $6,500, a report said.

A Wooster man reported Feb. 26 that someone withdrew $1,021 from his bank checking account without his permission.
