A Biruta Street man, 28, was charged with forgery/uttering after police said he attempted to buy food at a restaurant on South Hawkins Avenue and Diagonal Road with a fake $50 bill.
A Shawnee Path man, 26, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon (a knife), possession of meth and possession of Xanax after police stopped a group of people on Harrison Avenue and 12th Street Southwest.
A Wall Street woman, 31, was charged with misuse of a credit card after police said she used a stolen credit card to make several purchases totaling $808.59.
A Brittain Road man, 22, was charged with attempted burglary after police said he tried to enter a house in the 1500 block of Huguelet Avenue by sliding open a bathroom window. A homeowner identified the suspect.
An East Avenue man, 51, was charged with domestic violence after police said he assaulted the mother of his child.

A 21-year-old man was charged Oct. 21 with inducing panic after police said he sent pictures of himself holding a gun to his head to a 16-year-old. Police said they found the man at the Bath Baseball Field Complex and confiscated an unloaded gun that was inoperable because of rust.
Identity theft
A Harmony Hills couple reported Oct. 9 that someone used their personal information to file a fraudulent federal tax return.

Arrest
A Swartz Road woman, 21, was charged with domestic violence Oct. 5. Police said that during an altercation with her boyfriend she slammed her hand through a door’s glass window.
Burglaries
A laptop computer and two computer tablets were reported stolen from a Long Lake Boulevard home Oct. 9. Entry was gained into the house through the garage.
Two TV sets and an iPhone charger, total value $1,690, were listed as stolen Oct. 7 from an East Warner Road home.
Theft
A North Bender Avenue woman told authorities Oct. 13 that someone used her credit card information to make unauthorized purchases totaling $602.

An Akron man, 25, was charged Oct. 15 with domestic violence after police said he assaulted his child’s mother at her Ruth Avenue home.

A 21st Street woman, 37, reported Oct. 11 that someone threatened to run her over with a car.

An 18th Street woman reported Oct. 15 that her baby sitter struck her 2-year-old son on the right side of his face, leaving a bruise.

Someone broke into a building under construction in the 2000 block of State Road on Oct. 20. Six coils of copper wiring, valued at $300, were taken.

A home in the 1000 block of Munroe Falls Avenue was broken into Oct. 16.
Identity theft
A Woodlake Boulevard man reported Oct. 13 someone used his personal information to advertise the man’s home for rent.
Thefts
Someone took items valued at about $1,500 from a storage shed at Grace Church, 110 E. Steels Corners Road.
A Winter Parkway woman reported Oct. 15 that a man who is authorized to use her debit card made unauthorized withdrawals totaling around $2,000. She declined to prosecute.
A Victoria Street man reported Oct. 11 that he wired $800 to a “fraudulent source” to purchase an item listed on Craigslist.

A Tallmadge man, 21, was arrested Oct. 20 after a loss prevention officer in Target, 2801 W. Market St., told police he observed the man conceal five DVDs in his coat and leave without paying. The merchandise was valued at $119.95.
Thefts
The manager of iJunkiez in Summit Mall told police that when she opened the kiosk Oct. 21 she discovered $700 worth of merchandise was gone. Items missing were two iPads and four iPhone repair screens.
A worker repairing a roof Oct. 17 at Wyant Plaza, 2872 W. Market St., told police that when he returned from a break, the ladder he had been using was gone.

An Akron man, 24, of Buckingham Street, was charged with domestic violence following an incident Oct. 8 on Interstate 77. According to a report, his girlfriend was driving when they began arguing, and he struck her on the face and head several times. She pulled to the side of the southbound lanes, where he exited the vehicle. He was taken into custody later.
Burglary
Seven guns, two Xbox systems, 10 games and three laptop computers were reported stolen from a South Arlington Road home Oct. 15. No value was listed for the items.
Theft
A laptop computer, motorcycle helmet and other items, total value $2,450, were reported stolen Oct. 7 from a Lyndon Drive man’s car parked at the home, a sheriff’s report stated.

Someone threw a brick at a stairway at Mogadore Methodist Church on Oct. 16. Some of the stairway’s bricks were knocked loose.
Theft
Two residents on Mogadore Road called police Oct. 18 to report someone had siphoned gas from vehicles parked in driveways.

Breaking and entering
A piece of wood was thrown to break a window at Manchester High School on West Nimisila Road so someone could enter the school, damage a computer and steal a computer monitor, computer keyboard and a phone, total value $570.

A home in the 2400 block of Wadsworth Road was burglarized Oct. 16. Electronics and a handgun are among the items stolen.

Arrests
Charges of misuse of credit cards and theft resulted in a Pine Lake Trail man, 54, turning himself in to police on warrants. He was accused of using an acquaintance’s credit card given to him to purchase items for a rental property and wasn’t authorized to make $8,531 in charges, an Oct. 14 police report stated.
A Pressler Road woman, 37, was charged with domestic violence Oct. 12 after police said her ex-husband told them she punched and kicked him when he returned their children after visitation.
An Akron man, 41, of Preston Avenue was booked on two counts of gross sexual imposition Oct. 10 following a police investigation into allegations that he had sexual contact with two minors when they lived in the township between 2004 and 2006.
Robbery
Since Oct. 13, police have been investigating the aggravated robbery of a Fair Lane woman who said two men — one armed with a handgun — entered her home, struck her in the face and demanded money. They fled on foot with a minimal amount of cash.

A Stockbridge Drive woman, 42, was charged Oct. 21 with receiving stolen property.
An Akron man, 34, was charged Oct. 20 with violating a protection order. During a traffic stop, the protected party was found riding in the passenger seat of the car, police said.
Police charged a Kent man, 37, with passing bad checks Oct. 19.

Someone attempted to pry open the door of an attached garage in the 4400 block of Country Club Lane on Oct. 18.
Identity theft
A Temple Trail woman, 46, reported Oct. 3 that someone used her personal information in an attempt to collect unemployment compensation.
Thefts
A Hile Road man, 55, reported Oct. 20 that he paid a construction business nearly $4,000 a year ago to replace his roof. He said the work never was done.
Police received a report Oct. 14 of theft of an undisclosed amount of money from Stow Youth Baseball and misuse of a credit card.

Officers were called to a Medina Road car dealer Oct. 18 after a woman refused to return a vehicle after a test drive.
Suspicious vehicle
Officers talked to a man Oct. 16 for living in a van with three dogs and his wife in a Pearl Road parking lot. The man told officers the couple’s three daughters were no longer living in the van and had been taken in by relatives. He said the family is awaiting housing assistance from the county.

Arrests
A Canton man, 19, of Louisville Street was charged with theft after police said he admitted taking another person’s $500 computer left on a desk at Stark State College on Frank Avenue Northwest on Oct. 15.
A warrant for felony domestic violence led to the arrest Oct. 14 of a Plain Township man, 25, of Kalahari Avenue Northeast.
Police arrested an Akron woman, 21, of Colonial Hills Drive on a warrant for felony receiving stolen property.
Charges of felony robbery and carrying a concealed weapon were lodged against a Canton woman, 27, of Georgetown Road Northeast on Oct. 10 when apprehended at the Target store on Dressler Road Northwest. Police said she was confronted by a loss prevention officer and used force in an attempt to flee. She was armed with a 12-inch, double-sided, fixed-blade knife in her pants pocket, according to a report.
A Canton woman, 25, of 21st Street Northwest was jailed Oct. 10 on warrants charging her with two counts of felony receiving stolen property and two counts of misuse of credit cards.
Robbery
A Kent resident told police she was robbed of $450, a cellphone and other items by three men, including one with a handgun, on Oct. 12 as she walked to a friend’s Lasater Street Northwest home from a nearby parking garage.
Breaking and entering
A spokesperson for Olivieri Construction on Promway Avenue Northwest told police Oct. 8 that a pressure washer, two paint sprayers, and other equipment, total value $6,600, were stolen from a storage container at the Old Navy store on Strip Avenue Northwest.
Thefts
Police are investigating the Oct. 11 theft of internal parts from a $3,000 air-conditioning unit from behind Northeast Ohio Endocrinology on Hills and Dales Road Northwest.
Police were told Oct. 9 that Samantha’s Restaurant on Portage Street Northwest had been scammed out of $5,240 by a caller saying he was an American Electric Power bill collector and requested the money be paid by Money Pak. A police report said the phone number and postal code were from Quebec, Canada.
A saleswoman at DSW Shoes on Dressler Road told police Oct. 8 that a female selected items totaling $504 during three separate occasions, concealed them and turned them over to a second suspect, who returned them for store credit.

A Church Street Southwest man, 37, was charged with felony domestic violence Oct. 14, a day after his girlfriend said their argument turned physical and he kicked her in the face while on the floor. A 4-year-old child was present.
Charged with domestic violence, criminal damaging and disrupting public services, an Ellesmere Avenue Northwest boy, 16, was booked at the Stark County Juvenile Attention Center on Oct. 13. He was accused of punching his mother in the arm and stomach and smashing a phone against a wall.
Burglary
Two brass wedding glasses, a pair of crystal wedding glasses and other items, total value $1,138, were reported stolen Oct. 6 from a home on Penny Street Southeast.

An Indianapolis woman, who also owns a home on Cove Street Northwest, told police Oct. 6 that two TV sets, total value $900, were stolen from the local residence while she was out of state.
Thefts
A set of golf clubs, two pairs of sunglasses, cash and a purse, total value $1,850, were reported stolen Oct. 7 from a Broad Vista Street Northwest woman’s truck while parked at the residence.
An employee at Bedrock Construction on Apache Street Northwest told police Oct. 7 that a $5,000 utility trailer was stolen from behind the business.

A Rittman woman of the 100 block of Sterling Avenue was charged Oct. 20 with trafficking and possession of heroin.
An Orrville man of the 1900 block of Viking Avenue was charged Oct. 20 with possession of criminal tools, identity fraud, forgery, speed and no operator’s license.
A Brewster woman of the 400 block of West Second Street was charged Oct. 17 with drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin, possession of drug abuse instruments and driving under suspension.
A Smithville man of the 4200 block of Fox Lake Road was charged Oct. 18 with drug trafficking in heroin.

An industrial radio worth $400 was reported taken Oct. 20 from Jenkins Tree Service, 7636 Ruff Road, Congress Township.
Copper valued at $1,300 was reported stolen Oct. 17 from a vacant home in the 1000 block of West Smithville-Western Road, Wayne Township.
A dishwasher, a laptop computer and other items, total value $2,500, were reported stolen Oct. 17 from a storage unit on North Geyers Chapel Road, Wooster Township.
A blower, a handsaw and a gas can were reported taken Oct. 19 from a garage in the 8700 block of North Mount Eaton Road, Chippewa Township.

Five tablets each of Cialis and Percocet pills worth $24 were reported taken Oct. 16 from a residence in the 15300 block of Franchester Road, Congress Township. A four-wheeler valued at $7,500 also was taken.
Three rifles, a television and other items, total value $2,545, were reported stolen Oct. 17 from a residence in the 14500 block of Goudy Drive, Sugar Creek Township.
A television, a laptop computer and $100, total value $1,230, were reported stolen Oct. 20 from a home in the 7100 block of East Sterling Road, Milton Township.
A 2003 Chevrolet was reported taken Oct. 22 from a residence in the 13800 block of Gearhart Road, Congress Township. The vehicle was used for a joyride and returned. It also was reported $80 was taken from the home.

A Chippewa Township resident reported Oct. 21 that 137 marijuana plants were found in the 10400 block of Black Diamond Road.
Failure to file
Deputies reported Oct. 22 that a convicted sex offender had failed to report that he had moved from a residence in the 4400 block of Wile Road, Plain Township.
Thefts
A 2006 Ford pickup truck worth $6,000 and tools valued at $315 were reported stolen Oct. 15 from a residence in the 15100 block of Serfass Road, Chippewa Township.
A water heater, a furnace and other items, total value $7,500, were reported stolen Oct. 15 from a residence in the 800 block of West Clark Road, Franklin Township.

A Wooster man, 26, was charged Oct. 21 with assault, obstructing official business and criminal trespass after police said he failed to leave a residence in the 500 block of West Larwill Street. The man also kicked a police officer and fought with other officers as he was being arrested, a report said.
Assault
A 24-year-old man reported Oct. 19 that a man, 26, fired a gun in his bedroom in the 4400 block of Melrose Drive. Police said they were fighting over two guns.
Breaking and entering
Two leaf blowers worth $200 were reported taken Oct. 19 from an unlocked garage in the 500 block of North Grant Street.
Burglaries
An amplifier worth $60 was reported stolen Oct. 21 from a residence in the 200 block of North Columbus Avenue.
Someone broke into a residence Oct. 21 in the 1400 block of Gasche Street but nothing was reported taken.
Domestic violence
A 34-year-old woman reported Oct. 17 that her husband pushed her into a couch and tried to stop her from leaving their home in the 900 block of Northgate Drive.
Possession of drugs
A white powder, a smoking device and a pill were found Oct. 20 at a residence in the 500 block of North Buckeye Street after a passer-by reported a disturbance at the home.
A man was taken to Wooster Community Hospital after he was found to have overdosed on heroin in the bathroom of the Gulf gas station, 310 S. Market St.
Theft
A flute was reported stolen Oct. 1 from a locker at Wooster High School, 515 Oldman Road.
