Arrests
A Clinton Avenue man, 21, was charged with willful flee, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence, possession of marijuana and open container in a motor vehicle after officers attempted to stop him in the 200 block of Castle Boulevard while investigating a call for shots fired. The man led officers on a pursuit around the city before bailing from the car. Officers located him under a parked motor vehicle.
A 50-year-old Fern Street man was charged with breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools after police said he was found in a vacant house on Mistletoe Road pulling copper pipes from the basement ceiling.
A Noble Avenue man, 29, was charged with forgery and misrepresenting identity after a traffic stop.
An Ivy Court man, 56, was charged with possession of cocaine, trafficking in cocaine, possession of heroin and trafficking in heroin after he was stopped at Roslyn and Stoner streets while police were investigating a shots fired call. An Orlando Avenue man, 45, was charged with possession of cocaine, trafficking in cocaine, possession of heroin and trafficking in heroin in the same incident.
A 33-year-old Fairbanks Place woman was charged with possession of methamphetamine after a traffic stop at Graham Avenue and South Canton Road.
A 35-year-old woman from Stow Road in Stow was charged with drug abuse heroin, drug abuse marijuana, child endangering and drug paraphernalia after police said she was observed in the 500 block of East Tallmadge Avenue cleaning out a marijuana pipe. Officers said a 1-year-old child was seated behind her in the car.
A Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls man, 29, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug instruments after police said he admitted to them he had a syringe and spoon in his possession while sitting in a parked car in a lot off West Market Street. A Searl Street, Cuyahoga Falls man, 27, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia in the same incident.
A Beardsley Street man, 26, was charged with domestic violence and disrupting public service after police said he pushed his girlfriend off a bed then punched her in the face several times.
A Sherman Street man, 18, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and improper handling of a handgun in a motor vehicle after a traffic stop.
A man, 38, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop.
A 52-year-old Kenmore Boulevard man was charged with felony theft and criminal trespassing after police said he and an accomplice took items from a Moe Drive business and sold them for money.
A 44-year-old Miles Avenue man was charged with possession of crack after a traffic violation at Chittenden Street and First Avenue.
A Dussel Road, Kent man, 31, was charged with drug abuse heroin, drug paraphernalia, drug abuse instrument and OVI after police said they found him passed out in a car on Diagonal Road at Noble Avenue.
A Fixler Road, Wadsworth woman, 31, was charged with drug abuse cocaine, tampering with evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug instruments after police said she was acting suspiciously in a parking lot on Brittain Road.
A West Long Street man, 30, in Akron, was charged with domestic violence with a previous conviction after police said he attacked his baby’s mother.
A 26-year-old Eva Avenue woman was charged with trafficking in heroin, possession of heroin, possession of criminal tools and possession of drug paraphernalia after detectives executed a search warrant at her residence. A 26-year-old man from the same residence was charged with trafficking in heroin, possession of heroin, possession of criminal tools and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A Seville man, 30, of Gilford Road, was charged with felony burglary Feb. 25 after an East Huston Street woman said she noticed her belongings stolen from her home a day earlier. The suspect was jailed on a warrant for the theft.
Thefts
A woman who owns a Norton Avenue residence told police Feb. 24 that someone stole four light fixtures, a ceiling fan, copper pipes and other items, total value $3,665, from the home.

Four TV sets, other electronic devices, jewelry and more, total value $5,615, were reported stolen from a Swartz Road home Feb. 26.

A safe and its contents were taken during the burglary of a home in the 3400 block of Pleasant Hill on Feb. 28.

A 39-year-old Bailey Road man was charged Feb. 26 with aggravated burglary, felonious assault and aggravated menacing. He is accused of threatening to assault a 40-year-old man, then going to the man’s home, pushing his way in, and threatening him with a knife.
Two seventh-grade students at Robert Middle School were charged Feb. 24 with drug abuse. One of the boys admitted to police he brought marijuana to school and sold it for $5 to the second student.
A 56-year-old High Street woman was charged March 2 with drug abuse and possession of drug abuse instruments. She is accused of using heroin and having syringes in her possession.
Assault
A Johnson Avenue woman reported Feb. 26 that while her 11-year-old son was walking on Hollywood Avenue near Hudson Drive, someone threw a rock and hit him in the back of the head.
Burglary
A home in the 600 block of South Hidden Valley Road was burglarized March 4. Property worth nearly $4,000 was taken.
A home in the 1700 block of Hanover Street was broken into March 2. The thief took $500.
A 53-year-old Third Street woman reported March 1 someone broke into her room and took jewelry valued at more than $1,800.
Identity theft
A Maitland Avenue woman reported Feb. 26 someone opened two credit card accounts using her personal information.
Misuse of a credit card
A 29-year-old woman reported Feb. 28 someone used her debit card at Walgreens for three unauthorized purchases.
Sexual assault
Police are investigating a Feb. 27 report by a 20-year-old woman who said a man locked her in a room then sexually assaulted her. She said the incident happened in the 2100 block of State Road.
Theft by deception
A Sutton Drive woman reported Feb. 27 she paid $2,200 for a vehicle listed on Craigslist, then later discovered the ad was fraudulent.
Someone went to Weaver Industries, 129 Marc Drive, and claimed to be from CTEK Power, a company that sub-contracts with Weaver Industries to ship battery chargers. The suspect took 600 battery chargers, estimated value at more than $65,000.

Two Cathedral Lane women reported someone took prescription drugs from their apartments between Feb. 28 and March 4.

An Akron teen, 14, was arrested on theft charges Feb. 28. Police said she stole merchandise worth $22 from Spencer’s Gifts.
An Akron woman, 50, was arrested on theft charges Feb. 28 after police said she stole merchandise totaling $55 from Dillard’s Department Store. She and her accomplice, a 14-year-old boy, have been banned from Dillard’s indefinitely.
An Akron man, 19, was arrested for theft Feb. 27. Police said he and another unidentified person stole merchandise totaling $583 from Macy’s Department Store. He tried to evade the police but was apprehended. His partner wasn’t located. He has been banned from Macy’s indefinitely.
An Akron woman, 36, was arrested on theft charges Feb. 26. Police said she stole merchandise from Macy’s Department Store. She tried to hide the stolen items in a stroller. She has been banned from Macy’s for three years. Total amount of the stolen goods was $651.

An argument that turned physical at the suspect’s mother’s Starview Circle home resulted in an Akron woman, 23, being jailed on a charge of domestic violence Feb. 26. The daughter punched her mother in the back and back of the head, police said.
Breaking and entering
A variety of tools and supplies belonging to RT Hampton Plumbing of North Canton were stolen from a Moore Road facility after the door lock was broken, a company spokesperson told deputies Feb. 24. Value of the stolen items wasn’t disclosed.
Cash, a pressure washer and other items, total value $1,200, were reported stolen Feb. 24 from Preferred Auto Detailing on Mayfair Road.

A Terex Road woman was arrested Feb. 28 on a Richmond County warrant for conveyance of contraband into a prison.

A woman called police March 1 to complain that a former boyfriend keeps texting her. She said the former boyfriend texted seven times after an officer told him to stop.

A Rex Lake Road teen, 13, was charged with domestic violence and booked at the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center on Feb. 22 after she reportedly became angry at being told to clean the house and threatened to kill her grandmother.
Burglary
A South Cleveland-Massillon Road man told police Feb. 21 that over the last three months cash and two rings, total value $980, have been stolen from the residence.

A Creekside Drive man reported March 4 he received a federal income tax refund that does not belong to him. He said there has been fraudulent activity on his credit card recently. He did not know if the two were related.
Theft
Two lawn tractors, a snowplow and several doors for Ford Expedition and Pontiac Grand Prix automobiles were stolen from Eddie’s Auto Body, 4508 Hametown Road, between March 1 and 3. Total value of the items exceeds $3,000.

Police in several Northeast Ohio jurisdictions are on the lookout for a thief who struck at several Walmart stores, including the one on South Arlington Road, on Feb. 26 and 27, pried open cash boxes and fled with the money bags. A witness told police the thief was behind the customer service counter with the boxes open and fled with the money bags containing $400.

Multiple tools and fishing equipment, total value $1,700, were stolen from an Osage Avenue garage, a resident reported Feb. 26.

A woman, age 25 to 35, was seen selecting items totaling $800 and putting them in a cart, which she then pushed past the checkout and fled in a waiting vehicle Feb. 23 from the Giant Eagle store on East Waterloo Road.

A nurse at Seasons Nursing Home reported March 2 that he and a 64-year-old resident were punched by someone the man knows.
Breaking and entering
Someone broke into a trailer parked at a residence in the 4800 block of Fox Run Drive between Jan. 1 and Feb. 21. Tools valued at more than $6,000 were taken.

An employee of Seasons Nursing Home reported Feb. 26 that between Jan 8 and Feb. 25, several doses of narcotic pain medication were stolen from a lock box.

A 34-year-old North Munroe Road man was charged March 4 with possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and possession of Vicodin, a felony. Police noticed the man walking in circles in the parking lot of Rite Aid, 45 East Ave., then grabbing the open driver’s side window of a sports utility vehicle and shaking it, causing the vehicle to shake, as he yelled at the driver.

A Dressler Road Northwest man, 36, was turned over to Massillon police on an outstanding warrant Feb. 23 after he was apprehended by a police officer in connection with the alleged theft of $567 worth of clothing at Kohl’s department store.
A Woodlawn Avenue Northwest woman, 49, and her son’s fiancee, 31, were both jailed on charges of domestic violence Feb. 26 following an argument and fight at the residence.
Thefts
Police were called to the Piada Italian Street Food restaurant on Belden Village Street Northwest on Feb. 20 after it was discovered that someone stole $9,714 out of the office safe. The theft occurred between 4:30 and 6 p.m., police were told.
A LensCrafters employee in Belden Village Mall told police Feb. 19 that a woman concealed 20 pairs of eyeglasses, total value approximately $4,410, and exited the store without paying. The theft was caught on the store’s security camera, a police report stated.

A Hoover High School student, 18, of Marquardt Street Northwest, was jailed on charges of theft and felony tampering with evidence in the theft of another student’s cellphone and case, total value $510, from a classroom.

A 40th Street Northwest man, 28, was booked on a charge of domestic violence Feb. 23 after he allegedly punched the mother of their child in the face and threatened to get a knife and cut her.

A Medina man, 43, was arrested Feb. 25 on charges of operating a vehicle impaired, assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest and obstructing official business after he made repeated calls to 911 for help at a residence in the 13600 block of Forest Drive, Chippewa Township. Deputies arrived to find the man had crashed a car into a tree. A deputy said the man refused to answer questions and fought with officers, who used a Taser to handcuff him.

Jewelry valued at $100 was reported taken Feb. 27 from a residence in the 1100 block of Heyl Road, Wooster Township.
A television and a diamond ring valued at $2,349 were reported stolen Feb. 25 from a home in the 2500 block of Shamrock Road, Wooster Township.

Tools valued at $6,000 were reported stolen March 1 from a job trailer at Quality Installation Group, 5524 N. Mount Eaton Road, Baughman Township.

A Wooster man, 50, was arrested Feb. 28 after he allegedly injected his 31-year-old wife with heroin, causing an overdose at their residence in the 500 block of Spink Street.

A Wooster woman, 77, reported March 1 that a checkbook with a balance of $5,000 was stolen from her home in the 3800 block of Dornoch Drive.
A 78-year-old man reported March 1 that $10,000 in cash and a large amount of jewelry was stolen from his home in the 3800 block of Dornoch Drive.
Possession of cocaine
A man turned over drugs Feb. 25 in the 400 block of Beall Avenue to a police officer after the man left a suspected drug house.
Trafficking in drugs
Two Orrville men allegedly threw drugs on the ground March 1 after they got out of a rental car during a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Bowman Street, a police report said. Police seized $5,162 in cash from the men.
