Arrests
A Pocantico Avenue man, 39, and woman, 42, were charged with illegal manufacturing of meth, illegal assembly of chemicals, possession of meth, child endangering and possession of drug paraphernalia after officers responded to a physical altercation between the two. The woman directed the officers to items that are used in manufacturing of meth inside the house. Police said the manufacturing was being done while a 16-year-old boy lived in the house.
A man, 26, of Underwood Street, Cuyahoga Falls, was charged with violation of a protection order after police said he called the woman who has the order against him at least three times.
A man, 23, of Forbes Avenue was charged with felonious assault after police said he bit another man in an altercation in the 1400 block of Brown Street.
A woman, 49, of Fox Knoll Drive, Orrville, was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and open container in a motor vehicle after a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Frederick Boulevard.
A man, 21, of Carla Avenue NW, Lake Township, was charged with drug abuse/heroin and possession of drug instruments after police said he was found in the bathroom at the Sheetz gas station on West Waterloo Road shooting up a syringe containing heroin.

Sexual imposition
Police are investigating a report of sexual imposition filed Jan. 27 after a Wooster Road West girl, 17, named her uncle as the suspect. She said an incident occurred while she stayed at his South Azalea Boulevard residence.
Burglary
A West Summit Street man told police Jan. 25 that someone broke into the residence while he was out and stole items valued at $200 and cash totaling $3,000.
Thefts
Six catalytic converters, total value $1,500, were reported stolen Jan. 26 from unlicensed vehicles belonging to Affordable Auto Sales on Wooster Road North. The same day, four more catalytic converters, total value $1,000, were reported stolen from unlicensed vehicles owned by Macrocar Sales on Wooster Road North.

A 34-year-old woman was charged Feb. 4 with theft. She is accused of stealing clothing from Old Navy, 3881 Medina Road, valued at $108.
Copley Township
Arrests
A Jacoby Road woman, 39, told police Jan. 31 that her boyfriend had assaulted her at his residence. The man, 38, was charged with domestic violence and transported to Summit County Jail.
A 49-year-old man was issued a summons for theft Jan. 29 after police said he stole items from Home Depot.
Assault
On Jan. 29, officers said a man was destroying property in a Copley Road home because he was angry that his caregivers had shut off his Internet service. He also assaulted one of the caregivers, police said. The man was transported to Summa St. Thomas Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
Theft
A woman, 59, told police that someone smashed the front passenger windows of her car that was parked in the lot at Cracker Barrel and stole her purse. No suspects have been identified.
A resident of Windsong Care Center on Brookmont Road said someone stole $60 from her room Jan. 14.
Cuyahoga Falls
Arrests
A 20-year-old Akron man was charged Jan. 30 with making false alarms. He is accused of filing a false police report, indicating that he had been robbed at gunpoint Jan. 25.
A 13-year-old Bolich Middle School student was charged Jan. 30 with disorderly conduct. He is accused of bringing two live rounds of ammunition to school. He told police he was attempting to dispose of it by giving it to other students.
A 28-year-old 23rd Street woman and a 29-year-old Stow woman were charged Feb. 4 with possession of drug abuse instruments. Police reported finding hypodermic needles in their possession during a traffic stop.
A 31-year-old Victor Avenue woman was charged Feb. 5 with interference with custody. She is accused of taking her 13-year-old son across state lines, in violation of a shared custody agreement.
Assault
An 18-year-old Akron woman reported Feb. 2 that while she was visiting an address in the 2400 block of Fourth Street two men assaulted her. One of the men grabbed her inner thigh. She was transported to Summa Akron City Hospital and referred to the city prosecutor.
Breaking and entering
Someone broke into a garage in the 1600 block of 20th Street on Feb. 3. The person caused $2,500 in damage to a 1978 Chevrolet stored there and took a stereo system from the car valued at $9,700.
Burglary
An apartment in the 2400 block of State Road was burglarized in January, according to a Feb. 5 report. Electronics and cash, for a total loss of $4,250, were taken.
Identity thefts
A 13th Street woman reported Jan. 31 someone used her identity to file a federal tax return.
Someone used personal information of a 66-year-old Cleveland man in an attempt to have $22,400 transferred from a Cuyahoga Falls financial institution.

Arrests
A Brunswick woman, 27, was charged with theft Feb. 4 after police said she tried to steal $472 in merchandise from Macy’s department store. She tried to hide the merchandise in a baby stroller, but was apprehended by store security while trying to leave, police said. She has been banned from Macy’s for three years.
A Cleveland Heights woman, 32, was arrested for theft, criminal trespass and tampering with evidence Jan. 31 after police said she tried to steal a pair of sweatpants worth $90 from Dillard’s. She was initially banned for two years. The suspect returned to the store the same day and threatened an employee. Responding officers then booked her into the Summit County Jail.
An Akron woman, 38, was arrested on a theft charge Jan. 30 after police said she stole a purse and placed several other stolen items inside it at Macy’s. She has been banned from the store for three years. Total value of stolen items was $536.
Theft
A Cleveland woman, 30, told police that someone had made unauthorized charges at various locations totaling $2,888 on her Walmart money card. Police advised her to close the account.
Vandalism
The owner of the Center for Dyslexia on Miller Road told police someone broke the glass door and tried to pry it open on Feb. 1. Nothing was reported stolen.

A Malvern woman, 23, was jailed on a theft charge Jan. 30 after a security worker at the Target store on Arlington Ridge said he saw her take 28 DVDs and conceal them in her shopping cart under a baby seat. A deputy’s report said the suspect admitted to the theft during questioning.
Burglaries
Three handguns, jewelry, cash and other items, total value $4,725, were reported stolen Jan. 31 from a Greenview Drive residence after someone entered through a rear window.
A Mayfair Road man told a deputy Jan. 31 that someone entered his apartment and took an Xbox 360 system, seven Xbox games and a Blu-ray player. Total value was not disclosed.
Thefts
A Willoughby woman said Jan. 31 that she took her $700 cellphone into a restroom at the Circle K gas station on Massillon Road and left without it. When she returned, it was gone.
A Bonshire Avenue woman said Jan. 28 that someone used her credit card number five times to make purchases, total value $1,028, over an Internet site traced to Montreal.
An Adis Drive resident reported Jan. 21 that a shotgun and watch were stolen from his home. Total value was not disclosed.

Officers were called to the Speedway on Mogadore Road on Feb. 4 when a female entered the store to purchase a $400 gift card. She walked out of the store with the card after she told the clerk she had to retrieve cash from her car.
Domestic disputes
Police were called to Argonne Street on Feb. 4 after a woman’s estranged husband got into a confrontation with her new boyfriend. The husband told officers that he sneaked through backyards to “check” on his estranged wife. The boyfriend told officers that he found the husband letting air out of the tires of a car in the driveway and chased him away with a knife. Because of the conflicting stories, both men were issued warnings.
A Meadowridge Avenue man called police Jan. 30 to complain that his sister called and threatened him with harm if he does not move out of their mother’s home.

Arrest
A altercation ended Jan. 24 with a man, 34, jailed on a charge of felony domestic violence. Police said the arrest came after his girlfriend said he dragged her down a hallway and threatened to kill her with an open knife in his hand. He returned to the residence just as the deputy was about to leave and was taken into custody.

A 16-foot trailer was taken from behind R and R Sales, 5075 Wooster Road West, between Nov. 24 and Feb. 4.

Arrests
A Lakemore resident, 26, of Plaza Court was jailed on a charge of felony theft Jan. 29 when arrested at a Coach Lane location on a warrant involving the theft of credit cards from that home in September. The arrest report indicated the card was used five times to obtain $745.
A Coach Lane man, 35, was charged with felony domestic violence Jan. 26 after police said he punched his girlfriend in the face.
A 13-year-old Lee Drive boy was booked at the Summit County Juvenile Detention Center on Jan. 26 after arguments involving his mother and sister. A report stated that the boy threw items off his sister’s dresser and punched his mother before threatening to kill her if she didn’t cancel the call for police made minutes earlier.
An Abington Road man, 30, was jailed on a charge of domestic violence Jan. 26 after an officer said he saw the suspect push his girlfriend to the ground and try to take a cellphone from her at Abington Road and Sadler Street.
An Albrecht Avenue woman, 39, was jailed on a charge of felonious assault Jan. 25 after police said three friends became embroiled in an altercation at a Foxford Court residence. The woman grabbed a 6-inch kitchen knife and came at the other two before she was disarmed, a report said.
Breaking and entering
A real estate agent hired by a Cleveland bank to check on a vacant Junior Avenue house discovered Jan. 23 that a new electrical panel and other items, total value $1,090, had been stolen.
Forgery
Police were told Jan. 23 that a man, 42, often hired to do odd jobs for the Satellite Shop on Fenn Road is believed to have taken six company checks. He allegedly wrote them to himself, forged the owner’s name and cashed them for $912.
Misuse of credit card
A Lakemore woman told police Jan. 22 that someone used her credit card to withdraw $680 from ATMs without permission.
Thefts
A Wadsworth delivery man for the Pepsi Beverage Co. told police Jan. 29 that someone stole his $500 cellphone from a nearby shelf while he was making a delivery at the Walmart store on South Arlington Road.
As a Rhoadesdale Avenue man started to leave his home after going to church Jan. 26, he discovered that someone had entered his vehicle and taken a cellphone and 50 CDs, total value $770, from the vehicle’s console.

A 29-year-old Norton Road man was charged Feb. 5 with felonious assault. He is accused of seriously harming a 29-year-old woman at their home.
Burglary
Someone tried to break into a home in the 3400 block of Churchill Downs on Jan. 30. The homeowner reported that his patio doors were damaged and his phone and cable lines were cut.
Patient abuse
Police are investigating a Jan. 29 report of patient abuse made by the director of nursing at Maison Aine, 2910 L’Ermitage Place.
Theft
Credit cards, a shotgun and a bayonet were taken from a home in the 3800 block of Charring Cross Drive between Oct. 18 and Nov. 9, according to a Jan. 30 report.

A 34-year-old Kent woman was arrested Feb. 4 on a warrant for obstructing official business.
Theft
A Ford pickup that crashed and became stuck in a yard in the 200 block of North Thomas Road on Feb. 1 was reported stolen from Canton. A witness saw three men fleeing from the vehicle.
Theft by deception
A 38-year-old South Avenue woman reported Jan. 31 that someone contacted her, identifying himself as a representative from Microsoft. The suspect had the woman open a Western Union account so that Microsoft could send her a refund. Instead, the suspect back-drafted $800. Western Union spotted the possible scam and froze the account.

A Colony Road resident, 41, was jailed on a charge of domestic violence Jan. 14 when arrested at his home on a warrant.
Theft
A Beverly Avenue resident discovered he had been bilked out of $10,250 in late January after being contacted by a person saying the man had won a lottery and had to send a $750 check. He then sent a second check for $9,500 to a person in Sandy, Utah, before learning from his bank that it was a scam.

A Portage Street Northwest man, 26, was arrested at his home and jailed Jan. 26 on a warrant charging him with domestic violence.
A Woodlawn Avenue Northwest woman, 43, was jailed on a charge of domestic violence Jan. 25 after authorities were told she pushed her son’s girlfriend during an argument, causing her to fall.
A North Canton woman, 24, of Chadford Gate Southeast was jailed on a charge of felony theft Jan. 24 when arrested at The Basement nightspot on Portage Street Northwest on Jan. 19. Police said she was viewed on closed-circuit TV taking $1,300 from a change box and concealing the money on her person.
Police jailed a Canton woman, 34, of Grace Avenue Northeast on charges of theft and endangering children Jan. 23 after police said she concealed several boxes of pain medication worth $375 in a large purse and exited a store with her 8-year-old daughter. A loss-prevention specialist stopped her in the Marc’s parking lot on Belden Village Street Northwest.

A woman living on Stuhldreher Street Northwest told police Jan. 20 that someone took $3,000 from a digital safe and dresser drawer.
Forgery
A representative of the Diebold Federal Credit Union on Dressler Road Northwest told police Jan. 21 that a man opened an account with a $4,850 bank check and then withdrew $300. The bank later discovered the deposited check was a forgery.
Thefts
Two servers at La Pizzaria on Dressler Road Northwest told police that tips were distributed early Jan. 19 but the two victims, one from North Canton and one from Massillon, said that when they were about to leave they discovered their tips, totaling $337, had been stolen from one’s purse and the other server’s coat pocket.
A computer tablet, electronic game system and drugs, total value $850, were reported stolen Jan. 17 from a Marzilli Circle Northwest home.
Police began an investigation Jan. 17 into the theft of 12 iPhones, other phones and electronic devices, total value $19,500, from the Sprint store in Belden Village Mall.
