Arrests
A warrant led officers to stop a vehicle driven by a Wadsworth woman, 27, in the 700 block of Grant Street. Police said officers found meth in a sock in her car.
A Fess Avenue man, 35, was charged with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Police said that in August the man engaged in sexual conduct with a 15-year-old girl.
A Terrace Court man, 42, was charged with breaking and entering. Police said he broke into Superior Drainage on George Washington Boulevard.
A 26-year-old Akron woman and a 29-year-old Akron man were charged with breaking and entering after police said they entered a garage in the 600 block of Orlando Avenue and took items.
A Claudia Avenue woman, 48, was charged with possession of crack and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said the woman was stopped for a traffic violation at West Miller Avenue and Lakeshore Boulevard. She was found to be driving on a suspended license. Officers also found a crack pipe and crack near the driver’s seat.
A Hazel Street man, 19, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and receiving stolen property. Police said officers responded to a call for shots fired in the 600 block of Hazel Street and observed the man standing in the doorway of a house. A search revealed he was carrying a loaded 9 mm handgun in his waistband. The gun had been reported stolen in Cuyahoga Falls.

Burglary
A lawn decoration aided a burglar’s entrance into a home in the 200 block of Lake Pointe Drive on Nov. 7. The burglar threw a yard statue through a sliding-glass door, then entered the home, police said. Jewelry and silverware were taken.
Forgery
A check for nearly $40,000, written by Ross Controls, 2200 N. Cleveland-Massillon Road, was never received by the intended payee, according to a Nov. 8 report. A copy of the check indicated the payee’s name was changed and the check cashed at a Michigan bank.
Theft
Several Medina Line Road residents had their vehicles broken into Nov. 11 and Nov. 12. Among the items taken were a wallet and change.

Arrest
An East Paige Avenue man, 23, was arrested on a charge of felonious assault Nov. 2 after police said he threatened the sister of his girlfriend with a knife and punched her in the face.
Warrant issued
A warrant for felony disrupting public service and domestic violence was obtained against a Borden Street man, 22, on Nov. 6 after the mother of their child said he locked her out of their residence and, once she did get inside, pushed and slapped her, threw her to the ground and slammed her head against the floor before he left.
Robbery
A Fifth Street Northeast resident said two men entered his apartment and robbed him of a TV, cash and other items, total value $700 on Nov. 2.
Burglaries
A 28th Street Northwest couple said their residence was broken into Nov. 4 and numerous items valued at $2,995 and cash totaling $2,100 were taken.
A laptop computer and other items, total value $2,065, were listed as stolen Nov. 4 during a burglary at another apartment on 28th Street Northwest.
On Oct. 31, police were told that a 27th Street Northwest home was entered and a bucket filled with quarters worth an estimated $800 was stolen.

Domestic disputes
Officers on Nov. 5 broke up a domestic dispute between a brother and sister who are roommates. They were arguing about rent at a Ryewood Avenue residence, police said. The woman said her brother pushed her, but no charges were filed.
Police had to escort a Plainview Drive woman to Summa St. Thomas Hospital on Nov. 5. She said she was having depression issues after the father of her newborn said he didn’t want to have anything to do with them.
Traffic disruption
Officers responding to a call about someone walking on state Route 21 at Minor Road on Nov. 5 found a car blocking the intersection. They called a tow truck to remove the vehicle but were not able to locate its owner.

Robbery
A Barberton man told a Summit sheriff’s deputy Nov. 6 that he was robbed of $800 in a blue bag, which he left in the rear seat of another person’s vehicle before entering a fast-food restaurant on Manchester Road. The man said the second person drove off with the money, while the suspect later told authorities that the man had tried to rob him of the money in a drug deal.
Theft
A banjo valued at $2,000 was reported stolen Nov. 7 from underneath a bed of a North Bender Avenue man’s home.

Arrests
A 22-year-old Grove Avenue woman was charged Nov. 11 with domestic violence. She is accused of grabbing her 22-year-old boyfriend by the throat and punching him in the mouth.
Burglary
A home in the 1200 block of Anderson Road was entered Nov. 8. Tools were taken.
Misuse of credit card
A 77-year-old State Road woman reported Nov. 8 someone used her debit card four times without her consent, making a total of more than $1,200 in purchases. She said she had lost the card.
Electronic harassment
A 20-year-old Germaine Street woman reported Nov. 10 that an unknown man sent her a lewd picture on Facebook, then contacted the woman and her friend on their cellphones.
Theft
A 58-year-old man is claiming $7,500 in loss and damage after a Nov. 9 theft and vandalism in his home. The homeowner reported someone stole numerous items from his residence in the 1400 block of Tewksbury Circle. The thief also urinated on the furniture. The man declined to prosecute.

A Park Hill Drive man, 66, told police that the catalytic converter worth $1,280 was stolen off his 1997 Toyota 4Runner.
An unknown man was caught on camera stealing electronic devices from Sam’s Club on Nov. 13. Store security managed to get a vehicle description and license plate number. An investigation is ongoing.
A Rittman man, 22, and a Wadsworth man, 23, were arrested on theft charges Nov. 12 at Summit Mall. Police said they tried to walk out of the mall with $249 worth of merchandise. They were arrested after a physical altercation with store security.
A First Communications employee told police that someone took her iPad on Nov.8. She said it was locked in her desk at work.
A Stow girl, 16, was charged with theft Nov. 9 after police said she took a pair of handcuffs worth $13 from Spencer’s Gifts.

Miscellaneous jewelry and cash totaling $1,000 were reported stolen during a Nov. 4 burglary at a Raber Road residence.

Police were called to a bar on South Cleveland Avenue to investigate an underage male drinking there. The patron admitted to officers that he was 20 years old and had consumed several “Jack and Cokes.”
New Franklin
Arrests
Police charged a 31-year-old West Comet Road man with domestic violence and felony unlawful restraint Nov. 4 after a woman at the residence said she feared for her safety and her children’s safety.
A brother-sister altercation at their Rex Lake Drive home Nov. 2 led to the brother, 19, being jailed on a charge of felony domestic violence. He was accused of pushing his sister against a kitchen sink and hitting her several times. He fled but was arrested when he returned to the house.
Identity fraud
A Drake Drive man told police his personal information was used without his permission to open a T-Mobile account that accumulated $3,000 in charges.

A 29-year-old Green woman was charged Nov. 8 with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, two counts of child endangering, driving under suspension, no child restraints and failure to maintain control of her vehicle. Police stopped her on Interstate 76 westbound after a call from another driver complained of an erratic driver. The woman had two small children in the vehicle.

Arrest
A township resident told police Nov. 6 that he went to check on his vacant Loamshire Road rental property and suspected someone was inside. Police arrived and found two women and a man inside. A neighbor woman, 31, was charged with breaking and entering, while an Akron man, 32, of Fourth Street Southwest, was booked on charges of breaking and entering, obstructing official business and possession of drugs. A Kent woman, 31, of state Route 59, was charged with breaking and entering and obstructing official business.
Domestic violence
A domestic violence warrant was issued for a Columbine Avenue man, 29, on Nov. 6 after police said he made numerous threats against his father and a female resident. Both were extremely fearful of the threats, including a statement the suspect was going to put a methamphetamine lab in the family’s basement.
Breaking and entering
An $8,300 riding mower was reported stolen Nov. 7 as part of a break-in at EFB Construction on South Cleveland Avenue.
Burglary
Someone broke into an Alta Vista Avenue home Nov. 5 and stole a pistol, rifle, two shotguns and a hatchet, total value $750.
Two rifles, a shotgun, fishing equipment and a laptop computer, total value $1,800, were reported stolen Nov. 3 from a Shadybrook Drive home.

A 21-year-old Kent Road man was charged Nov. 8 with domestic violence. He is accused of punching his 19-year-old girlfriend in the face.
Breaking and entering
Someone broke into a storage shed at Millburn Apartments, 4392 Millburn Ave., between Nov. 6 and 11 and took an air conditioner valued at over $600.
A snow plow and hydraulic pump were stolen by someone who cut a chain to access the yard at Jim’s Automotive, 4141 Hudson Drive, on Nov. 10 or 11.
Identity theft
A Becket Circle woman reported Nov. 8 that someone used her identity to open several credit card accounts. There is a balance of $8,000 on one of them.
Electronic harassment
A 19-year-old Echo Valley woman reported that a man she knows posted a nude photo of her on a Facebook page.
Theft
An insulin pen that belonged to a Stow-Munroe Falls High School student was taken from the school’s clinic refrigerator between Nov. 8 and Nov. 11.
A Lakeview Boulevard woman reported that she and her husband bought a camper for $2,100 from a Craigslist seller. She sent the money but did not receive the camper.

A 34-year-old South Avenue woman was charged Nov. 9 with obstructing official business and resisting arrest. Police called to the Firehouse, 10 Tallmadge Circle, found the woman and a male companion intoxicated and refusing to leave the bar at closing time. She is accused of refusing to follow police directions and fighting with an officer who tried to arrest her. Police gave her companion a ride to his home.
A 23-year-old Akron man was charged Nov. 10 with trafficking marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they found a large amount of the drug in his vehicle during a traffic stop on North Thomas Road.

An apartment in the 200 block of North Thomas Road was broken into Nov. 12. Cash totaling $700 was taken.
Misuse of credit card
A Locust Drive woman reported Nov. 10 someone used her credit card account to make several unauthorized purchases, totaling more than $2,300.

Officers were called Nov. 8 to West 130th Street for a report of a bicyclist hit by a truck. The rider was not seriously injured. The truck had fled from the scene.

Officers were called to a Rocklyn Drive residence over a dispute involving a PlayStation game system and money owed after an apparent illegal drug purchase.

A homeless Medina man was arrested Nov. 12 after being found on a South Broadway Street property from which he already had been banned.

Police were called to a motel on Medina Road on Nov. 11 after someone called for medical help for cuts to his head and arm. The man told officers he hurt himself after vandalizing the room because he was upset about the use of “chemicals” to help a slow bathroom drain. He caused $350 in damage.

Officers were called to the FirstMerit bank on Medina Road on Nov. 10 to check out a suspicious vehicle. The driver told officers he pulled into the parking lot to smoke.
Animal call
A River Forest Road resident called police Nov. 10 to report that he had found a dead bear cub behind his house. The man was concerned that its mother might be in the area.

A 51-year-old Broad Street man was arrested during a traffic stop on charges of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A purse was stolen from a vehicle parked in the lot at Petco, 1052 Williams Reserve Blvd., Nov. 10.
Two Barrenwood Drive women reported Nov. 9 that checks have been stolen from them over a four-month period. Police are investigating.

A 46-year-old Earl Avenue man was charged Nov. 13 with burglary and a violating a protection order.
Police arrested a 23-year-old Deidrick Road man Nov. 12 on a warrant for assault.
A 39-year-old Starr Avenue man was charged Nov. 11 with domestic violence.
Burglary
A residence in the 400 block of West Elm Street was broken into Nov. 13.
Someone broke into a residence in the 900 block of Carlisle Court and another in the 800 block of Franklin Avenue on Nov. 11. Tools were taken from the Franklin Avenue residence. Clothing, change and electronics were taken from the Carlisle Court residence.

Arrests
Felony charges of three counts each of forgery and receiving stolen property resulted in the warrant arrest of an Akron woman, 44, of Ambrose Court after she initially was arrested by Fairlawn police Nov. 4.
A Leecrest Street Northwest man was jailed on a charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor Nov. 4 after the teenage girl’s father found the pair in bed together at his Fulton Drive Northwest home.
A Jackson police warrant charging felony receiving stolen property resulted in the Nov. 4 jailing in Stark County of an Akron man, 35, of Merton Avenue after he was picked up at the Summit County Jail.
A Canton man, 26, of Clark Avenue Southwest was jailed Nov. 2 on charges of inducing panic, improper discharging of a firearm, felony tampering with evidence and using a weapon while intoxicated. Police said the man fired a weapon inside the Diamond Royale on Munson Street Northwest and fired a second shot into the air in the parking lot about 2:30 a.m.
A Stuhldreher Street Northwest resident, 24, was jailed Oct. 31 on a Jackson warrant alleging domestic violence after she initially was arrested by Canton police.
Burglary
Kitchen cookware, towels and other items, total value $600, were taken and the burglar cooked a meal in the victim’s Shakertown Drive Northwest residence before discarding the trash in the victim’s bathroom trash can on Oct. 31.
Thefts
Sports equipment, a laptop computer and other items, total value $1,500, were stolen from three vehicles at a Mill Ridge Circle Northwest home Nov. 6.
Police said a township resident told officers Nov. 1 that she received a phone call from a man saying he was with a bonding company in Ecuador and her grandson needed bond money. After talking to another man whom she thought was her grandson, she sent $2,580.
A spokesman for General Rent-All Center on Whipple Avenue Northwest told police Oct. 31 that a client rented a $1,900 power washer two months earlier and efforts to contact the client have not been successful.
Three men took copper wire valued at $608 from Lowe’s on Strip Avenue Northwest on Nov. 1 without paying.

A Dartmouth Avenue Northwest woman, 18, was arrested at the Hoover High School football stadium Nov. 1 and charged with felonious assault of a police officer, resisting arrest and underage consumption Nov. 1. Two other teens, a Downingate Circle Northwest girl, 17, and a Whiteridge Circle Northwest girl, 17, also were charged with underage consumption and released to relatives.
Investigation into the breaking and entering of Viking Glass on East Maple Street in April 2012, has led to a Canton man, 47, of Harter Avenue Northwest being jailed Nov. 1 on a charge of breaking and entering. Police said two cash drawers were emptied and five unsuccessful attempts were made to get cash from ATMs.
A Schneider Street Northwest woman, 41, was jailed on a charge of domestic violence Nov. 1. She is accused of punching her husband in the nose during an argument.

A Big Prairie man, 30, was arrested Nov. 7 on a charge of burglary after deputies were notified that he tried to break into a home in the 1400 block of North Honeytown Road, Wayne Township.

A Chippewa Township resident reported Nov. 11 that someone tried to break into a home in the 14400 block of Moine Road, but nothing was stolen.
A leaf blower, a carton of cigarettes and other items, total value $542, were reported taken Nov. 8 from a residence in the 3700 block of Millbrook Road, Wooster Township.
A bag of tobacco, a sex toy and a set of false teeth, total value $286, were reported stolen Nov. 10 from a home in the 2000 block of South Kansas Road, East Union Township.
Prescription drugs worth $30 were reported taken Nov. 5 from a residence in the first block of Front Street, Burbank.
A television, 100 DVD movies and other items, total value $1,960, were reported stolen Nov. 5 from a residence in the 1700 block of Eastern Road, Chippewa Township.

A diamond wedding ring valued at $2,450 and cash totaling $60 were reported stolen Nov. 10 from a residence in the 700 block of Whitetail Crossing. On Nov. 9, a neighbor reported jewelry and 20 silver dollars, total value $3,400, were taken from his home.
Robbery
A Wooster man, 29, reported Nov. 7 that a man held a knife to his throat and demanded items as he got out of his car at his home in the 2200 block of Melrose Drive. The victim struck the man, and the perpetrator ran away.
Thefts
Prescription medications worth $10 were reported taken Nov. 12 from a home in the 400 block of Washington Street.
A 2002 Ford Explorer valued at $3,000 was reported stolen Nov. 8 from a residence in the 400 block of West Larwill Street.
