Akron police say a 26-year-old man sitting in a vehicle walked away unhurt after a man opened fire on him just before noon Monday.
The shooting happened in the 800 block of McKinley Avenue in East Akron.
The apparent target of the gunfire told investigators he saw a man he didn’t recognize get out of a white Toyota with tinted windows. The man had a gun and fired several shots, hitting the vehicle the man was sitting in, along with a nearby house.
Police did not say whether the man with the gun intentionally missed the man in the vehicle or just had bad aim.
Afterward, the may with the gun got back into the Toyota and fled.
