New Franklin Police said on Tuesday they found suspected heroin and a syringe on an Akron man after they stopped his vehicle Friday night in the 1100 block of West Comet Road.

The driver, Danny W. Mosher, 47, was arrested following a traffic stop about 10 p.m. in the residential neighborhood. Police said they learned there was a felony warrant and a misdemeanor warrant out for Mosher’s arrest.

Police said they searched the vehicle and found a small bag of white powder and a syringe. Police said the powder tested positive for heroin.

Mosher was charged with possession of drugs and possessing a drug abuse instrument. He was taken to Summit County Jail.

According to court records, Mosher, of Fawler Avenue in Akron, was arraigned in July in Summit County Court of Common Pleas on charges of receiving stolen property, possessing drug abuse instruments and driving under suspension.
