AKRON: A 24–year–old man wanted in connection with a September slaying in Cleveland is being held in the Summit County Jail and is scheduled to appear Monday in Akron Municipal Court.
Daniel Wingfield, of Cleveland, was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of Tarson Terrace by officers from the U.S. Marshals Office and the Akron Police Department. He is charged with having weapons under disability and is being held on a warrant in the Sept. 27 death of Dexter Mangham, 23.
Mangham, of Euclid, was killed near the corner of East Fourth Street and Euclid Avenue when a gunman opened fire into a crowd. Two other people were shot and injured.
Police are still looking for a second suspect in the shooting. Wingfield was arraigned on Saturday.
