An Allendale Avenue man, 47, was charged with disrupting public service and domestic violence after police said he was involved in a domestic fight with his girlfriend. During the fight, the woman’s daughter tried to call police with a cellphone. The man took the phone and hid it in a bedroom dresser.
A Work Drive woman, 23, was charged with felony willful flee after police said she led them on a brief chase following an attempted stop.
A South Canton Road man, 52, was charged with domestic violence with a previous conviction and domestic violence menacing after police said he was involved in a verbal argument with his girlfriend over another man that turned physical. Police said he grabbed her by the neck, slapped her in the face and held a knife to her throat while threatening to kill her.
A Catskills Drive woman was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after police said she asked to borrow the victim’s vehicle in 2005 and never returned it.
A Barberton man, 21, of Morgan Street was charged with aggravated burglary, assault, disorderly conduct by violent and turbulent behavior, harassment by inmate and disorderly conduct by intoxication after police said he entered an apartment on Amber Hills Drive. When he was asked to leave, he assaulted the female resident. He also spit in the face of an arresting officer, a report said.
A Copley Road man, 19, was charged with discharging a firearm within a school safety zone. No injuries were reported.

A Melody Drive man, 21, was charged Dec. 3 with grand theft, attempted safe cracking, receiving stolen property and burglary. He is accused of breaking into a relative’s home and also with possessing prescription drugs stolen from a Brecksville home.
Identity theft
A Bath Road man reported Dec. 3 that someone used his personal information in an attempt to secure a loan.
Theft
The owner of Ohio Motel, 2248 Cleveland-Massillon Road, reported Dec. 2 that a tenant vacated his room, taking bed linens with him, valued at $150. The owner said the tenant violated the nonsmoking policy and the room will have to be cleaned at a cost exceeding $300.
Coventry Township
Arrest
A North House Drive man, 61, was charged with domestic violence Nov. 28 after police said he poked and pushed his wife during an argument and hit her hand with an unknown object, causing injury.
Burglaries
A $500 flat-screen TV and $8,400 worth of U.S. Mint coins were reported stolen Nov. 29 from a North Turkeyfoot Road home. A door had been kicked in to gain entry, a sheriff’s report stated.
A $6,200 diamond ring, four TV sets, a guitar and other items totaling more than $7,000 were reported stolen Nov. 11 from a Doubler Drive home.

Arrests
A Canal Fulton man was charged Dec. 3 with illegal possession of chemicals used to manufacture drugs. During a traffic stop on Broad Boulevard, items used to manufacture methamphetamine were found.
An Akron man, 22, was charged Dec. 9 with robbery, resisting arrest, criminal damaging and possession of criminal tools. He is accused of choking and biting a Valley Road man who confronted the suspect for breaking into the man’s vehicle.
Two Cuyahoga Falls High School students, ages 15 and 17, were charged Dec. 4 with breaking and entering and theft of drugs. The younger teen was also charged with possession of criminal tools, and the older teen was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. They are accused of breaking into a garage in the 2900 block of Northland Street.
A Hunters Lake woman, 44, was charged Dec. 4 with assault after police said she pulled a 21-year-old Winter Parkway woman out of her car and struck her head on the ground in the 2200 block of High Street.
Burglary
A home in the 800 block of Curtis Avenue was burglarized Dec. 4. Two bottles of prescription medication were taken.
Sexual assault
Two Akron women, ages 24 and 40, reported Dec. 3 that they believe they were drugged and sexually assaulted while in the 3600 block of State Road. Police are investigating.
Identity thefts
A Dillon Drive woman reported Dec. 6 that someone used her identity to apply for an $18,000 school loan.
A Hayes Avenue woman reported Dec. 5 that someone she knows took her driver’s license and, with another woman, took out a title loan for $8,000 against a vehicle in her and the suspect’s names. The loan is now in default.
Thefts
A gun was stolen from a bedroom in a home in the 1600 block of Hanover Street between Oct. 26 and Dec. 5.
A package was stolen from the front porch of a home in the 2600 block of 18th Street on Dec. 2.

Arrests
A deputy patrolling the Knapp Park Recreation Area off Cottage Grove Road on Nov. 30 charged a Moore Road man, 33, with illegal manufacture of methamphetamine, illegal assembly and trafficking in drugs after a witness told the officer that items used to make meth were at the home, a sheriff’s report noted.
An Akron man, 19, of Sherman Street was charged with falsification and arrested on a warrant for domestic violence when stopped Nov. 25 on Myersville Road.
Identity fraud
On Dec. 1, a Green resident told authorities that his personal information was used to open three charge accounts and run up charges totaling $2,505.
Theft
A Mayfair Road resident told deputies Dec. 2 that someone stole a $700 cellphone from her home.
Mogadore
Arrest
An Orrville woman, 31, was arrested Dec. 5 after police said she bilked a Mogadore church out of $480. A report said the woman, along with a 30-year-old man who is homeless, went to the church and asked for financial help for repairs their car did not need. Police say the couple are suspected in similar scams in Springfield Township, Stow, Copley Township, Bath Township and Hudson.
Trespass
Officers were called to a Mogadore Road address Dec. 5 for a report that a vehicle was stuck. Police believe someone was attempting to remove a trailer from a property that is in foreclosure.
New Franklin
Theft
A South Cleveland-Massillon Road boy was released to his mother Nov. 26 after he admitted thefts from his home and his aunt’s apartment next door, including two cellphones, two portable DVD players and other items. No value was listed on the police report.

A Norton Avenue woman, 35, was charged Dec. 6 with misuse of a credit card and theft. She is accused of stealing a co-worker’s credit card and using it at two local businesses.
Springfield Township
Arrests
Police charged an Albrecht Avenue man, 24, with domestic violence Nov. 26 after officers said he admitted punching his girlfriend during an argument.
A Lakemore woman, 34, of Lake Road was arrested Nov. 25 on a falsification charge after police said they recovered items she had rented from Eagle Rental but told the company they had been stolen. She filed a burglary/theft report in November but police found she had sold several items to a business on Canton Road in April and July, a report stated.

Someone entered a Beryl Road home and stole a video game console, computer tablet, diamond ring and tennis bracelet, a resident told police Nov. 28. No value was listed.
Thefts
Police are investigating the Nov. 24 report of an Ewart Road woman, who said a family member, 44, of Barberton had power of attorney for her and over a four-month period withdrew $200,000 and put the funds into his account. A police report said he no longer has power of attorney and said he and his attorney said the money was withdrawn to protect it.
A township resident told police Nov. 24 that her purse and contents were stolen from her cart at the Giant Eagle on East Waterloo Road. A cellphone and other items, total value $515, were taken.

A Ravenna man, 23, was charged Dec. 9 with domestic violence. He is accused of assaulting a 22-year-old woman while the two were in the 3000 block of Graham Road.
A Nottingham Lane man, 33, was charged Dec. 4 with criminal trespassing and resisting arrest. He is accused of peeking through the blinds of an apartment in the 1100 block of Tall Grass Circle.

A Prescott Downs woman reported Dec. 9 that her cable line was cut.
Misuse of a credit card
A loss prevention agent with Target, 4200 Kent Road, reported Dec. 8 a woman attempted to purchase $3,000 worth of gift cards using a stolen credit card. When the clerk said she had to call for authorization, the woman left the store, leaving the credit card behind.
A Williamsburg Circle woman, 36, reported Dec. 8 that someone used her debit card for online purchases totaling more than $1,000.
Theft
A Cuyahoga Falls woman, 74, reported Dec. 2 that someone took her purse from a cart at 3520 Hudson Drive.

A police officer noticed a disturbance outside of a Pearl Road bar Dec. 7. A female entertainer from Elyria, 22, was involved in a fight inside of the bar and broke a mirror and bit a doorman. She also had an active warrant out of the North Olmsted Police Department. She was charged with disorderly conduct, assault and possession of a hypodermic needle.

Someone called police Dec. 10 to complain that a group of teens in the area of West Union Street were “doing what they are able to do.” No teens were found.

Officers were called to a home on Great Smokey Circle on Dec. 6 after a homeowner discovered someone had cut the wires to a Christmas display.

Lost dog
A Country Club Drive resident called police Dec. 10 after a good Samaritan inadvertently returned a lost dog to the wrong person. It turns out the neighbor who accepted the dog suffers from memory loss and believed it was his. The dog was returned to its rightful owner.

A Norton man, 48, was arrested Dec. 6 at the Legacy Inn, 810 High Street, on warrants from the Akron Police Department.
Police busted a party in the 500 block of Farr Avenue on Dec. 7. A man, 22, was charged with permitting underage drinking, and a man, 19, was charged with underage drinking. Reports were sent to the juvenile prosecutor for possible charges on another juvenile who attended the party.
Burglary
Police are investigating a Dec. 19 report of a burglary on Hounson Road.
Identity theft
A West Street man reported Dec. 3 that someone used his personal information to open two accounts with T-Mobile.
Misuse of a credit card
A man reported Dec. 8 that someone used his credit card number to make a purchase at a High Street business.

Arrests
A Massillon woman, 33, of Wales Road Northwest was charged with felony theft of drugs Dec. 3 after being accused of taking drugs from a patient at Jackson Ridge Nursing Home on High Mill Avenue Northwest, where the woman was employed.
A Minerva man, 25, of South Market Street was charged with two counts of felonious assault and one of felony domestic violence when Jackson police arrested him in the Belden Village area Nov. 28. Police said he used his vehicle to strike another vehicle in which his wife was sitting. She told officers that the man told her he was going to shoot and kill her that night.
A Lasater Drive Northwest woman, 22, was charged with felonious assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct Nov. 29 when police found her rolling in snow. Officers said they arrested her for her own protection. One officer was bitten on the leg as she fought being handcuffed, a report stated.
Identity fraud
A Frank Avenue Northwest resident told police Dec. 2 that someone stole her identity and that numerous businesses in six states now have her Yahoo, Gmail and cellphone information.
A Glenmoor Road Northwest woman told police Dec. 2 that someone used her credit card for payment for work done over the past seven months and set up a false account from which $60,000 was stolen.

A West Spring Circle man, 38, was charged with domestic violence Dec. 2 after police said he grabbed his brother by the throat during an argument and slammed his head into a vehicle.

A Valley Drive Northwest man, 51, was charged with domestic violence Dec. 3 after police said he struck his girlfriend in the back of the neck as she walked away from him during an argument.
On Dec. 3, a Canton woman, 29, of 17th Street Northwest turned herself in at the North Canton Police Department on a warrant for felony theft.

A South Main Street man told police Nov. 21 that an acquaintance used his ATM card to steal $522 from his account.

An Alliance man, 35, of Linwood Drive was jailed on a felony theft warrant following his arrest Dec. 2 on Carriage Lane.
On Nov. 30, a Scenicview Street Northwest man, 37, was charged with domestic violence after police said he was found hiding in a basement closet at a relative’s home after he had struck a woman several times in the face.
A 41st Street Northwest man, 33, was charged with domestic violence Nov. 29 after police said he injured his wife’s arm during an argument.

A Wooster man of the 600 block of Glenn Avenue was charged Dec. 10 with aggravated possession of heroin, operating a vehicle impaired and conveying prohibited items to a detention facility.
A Wooster woman of the 900 block of Portage Road was charged Dec. 9 with possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A Wooster man of the 300 block of North Bauer Road was charged Dec. 8 with aggravated possession of drugs, possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A Wooster woman of the 400 block of Emerick Street was charged Dec. 8 with inducing panic and making false alarms after a report said she wrote a letter saying she would cause damage to Wooster City Schools. The district closed all schools Nov. 14 in response to the letter.
A Wooster man of the 300 block of East Bowman was charged Dec. 8 with possession of drug paraphernalia and aggravated possession of drugs.
A Lakeville man of the 8700 block of state Route 179 was charged Dec. 6 with forgery.
A Wooster man of the 1600 block of Sylvan Road was charged Dec. 4 with sexual imposition.

A 12-gauge shotgun valued at $400 was reported taken Dec. 9 from a residence in the 2000 block of South Kansas Road, East Union Township.
A break-in was reported Dec. 9 at a foreclosed home in the 100 block of East Messner Road, Franklin Township. Nothing was reported stolen.
Percocet tablets worth $175 were reported taken Dec. 6 from a residence in the 14700 block of Oak Grove Drive, Chippewa Township.
Silver dollars worth $25,000, jewelry, guns and other items, total value $44,976, were reported stolen Dec. 6 from a home in the 4700 block of Lattasburg Road, Chester Township.
Felonious assault
A juvenile boy of Christian Children’s Home, 2505 Armstrong Road, Canaan Township escaped from the facility, stole a pickup truck and struck an unoccupied police cruiser, a report said. The boy fled in the truck and caused additional property damage to many homes and businesses.

Three televisions, a game system and other items, total value $2,258, were reported taken Dec. 5 from a storage unit in the 4000 block of Canal Road, Wooster Township.
Tools and a handgun valued at $3,750 were reported stolen Dec. 9 from a vehicle in the 3300 block of North Apple Creek Road, Green Township.
Scrap auto parts valued at $6,200 were reported taken Dec. 8 from Jim’s Transmission and Service, 83 S. Cochran St., Dalton.
A tractor and trailer with tools were reported stolen Dec. 4 from a residence in the 2700 block of East Britton Road, Canaan Township.
Auto parts and scrap steel worth $500 were reported stolen Dec. 3 from a barn in the 12400 block of East Easton Road, Chippewa Township.

Possession of drugs
Police found a crack cocaine pipe and a plastic baggie with heroin on a person Dec. 5 in the 1000 block of West Liberty Street, a report said.
Two metal spoons with white residue and a plastic bag of marijuana were found Dec. 6 by police on a person at a residence in the 300 block of Spink Street, a report said.
Thefts
A donation box with 100 bears designated for St. Jude Hospital and sponsored by Toys for Tots was reported stolen Dec. 8 from Kay Jewelers, 3969 Burbank Road.
A wallet with credit cards was reported stolen Dec. 5 from an unlocked pickup truck in the 1400 block of East Bowman Street. The cards were used to purchase items at stores in Wooster, a report said.
Six televisions worth $1,902 were reported stolen Dec. 5 from Days Inn, 789 E. Milltown Road.
A television, a laptop computer and other items, total value $1,800, were reported taken Dec. 6 from a home in the 300 block of East Bowman Street.
A 2009 Buick worth $11,000 was reported stolen Dec. 7 from a residence in the 400 block of Nold Avenue.
A report said that a child stole oxycodone tablets from his parent Dec. 7 at a home in the 1700 block of Jenna Drive.
Pills were reported stolen Dec. 4 from a purse at a residence in the 700 block of North Grant Street.
Several checks were reported stolen Nov. 26 from a residence in the 800 block of Rebecca Street and written to area businesses for items worth $684.
