A 19-year-old Akron man has been arrested for supplying the heroin to a Green man who overdosed on the drugs and died.

Anton Pickett has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, corrupting another with drugs and trafficking in drugs.

Pickett was arrested Friday after a search warrant was executed at his residence.

He was booked into the Summit County Jail, according to a press release from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.

Summit County Sheriff’s detectives say Pickett supplied heroin to Tyler Bornstein, 23, whose body was found Sept. 28 in a vacant lot on Alfred Boulevard off Arlington Road in Coventry Township.

Bornstein was found with drug paraphernalia near his body.

Detectives also arrested a 23-year-old man who was with Bornstein at the time of his death.

He was charged with tampering with evidence and obstruction of justice.

He cooperated with detectives, which led to the identification of Pickett, whom detectives say sold Bornstein heroin moments before his death.
